Simply Zinnia, Days to Remember, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I'm still here. My lungs are pretty noisy and the pulled muscle on my side from coughing is very painful.  I'm feeling better sitting up than laying down and my head is not as foggy.  Whatever this is is horrid and it can go away quickly. I don't wish this on anyone. I wanted to make a card to share that is a quick one and I succeeded in that. And after I get done posting this I'm going to go lay down again. Please read on to see how today's card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock. On top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Old Olive card stock. And on top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White that was textured using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. I glued that piece to the Old Olive piece and then that was taped to the Lemon Lime Twist piece and then that was taped to the front of the card.

The flowers are from the "Simply Zinnia" bundle. I stamped them using black Memento ink and they were cut using the matching die.

I colored the flowers using my light and dark Poppy Parade Blends pens. The centers were done using the light Pecan Pie Blends pen and Daffodil Delight Blends pen. The leaves and stems were stamped using both light and dark Old Olive Blends pens.

The circle was die cut using the second largest die in the "Stylish Shaped" set on a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Flowering Zinnia" 12" x 12" package. I glued that to the bottom right of the card. It's about 1/8" up from the bottom and 1/8" over from the right edge of the Basic White piece.

The words are from the "Days to Remember" set and were stamped using black Memento ink and then punched out using the "Double Oval" punch. I set the words in place using a couple of Dimensionals and the card was done.

This is a very quick and easy card to make. I also think it would make a great get well, thinking of you, or Mother's Day card too!  I have lots of DPS left over and I may make a few more of these so I can use up some of that DSP.  A goal of mine this year is to use up more DSP.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Pretty card! I really like the way you used the circle.

So sorry you are having a hard time recovering from whatever that is. Did you say you had tested to see if it was Covid? Take care, friend!
