Itty Bitty Greetings, Best Dressed, Anniversary Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

I was in need of an anniversary card and instead of digging through my stash of cards, I made a new one. I always have to make a fresh one instead of using one I already have.  I don't know why. Let's not go there!!! LOL

I didn't have any anniversary words except for these small ones that are in the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set.  Then I remembered the layout I LOVE to use when I have small images.  SO here you have it.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  I used Flirty Flamingo. If you have Lovely Lipstick, you can use that, it's what is on the Designer Series Paper (DSP) package.  I cut the card stock on the short side so the piece measures 4-1/4" x 11" before it's folded in half.

On top of the card base I taped a 3-1/2" x 4-5/8" piece of Whisper White.

I stamped the words from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" on a 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" scrap piece of Whisper White card stock using black Memento ink.

I cut a 3" x 4-1/8" piece of Mossy Meadow and a 2-7/8" x 4" piece of the "Best Dressed" DSP.  I added the smallest amount of snail tape to the back of the DSP in the area where the holes are to be punched.  I needed these two pieces to stick together and not slip but I didn't want them to be permanently stuck just yet.  Line up the edges so they are equal all around.

I took my 1-1/4" circle punch and cut a circle through both pieces.  I dropped the piece all the way into the punch and lined up the sides and then I punched it.

Then I took the DSP and put two layers of scrap copier paper behind it and punched out a thin ring. Line up the punch to make the ring even all around.

Once the holes were made, I taped the two pieces together.

I added the ribbon.  I taped the two ends of the ribbon to the back of the panel and then I took another piece of ribbon and tied a knot and trimmed the edges.  I'm sure my ribbon is retired but if you're a demonstrator, just grab some current ribbon and substitute it.

I added Dimensionals around the circle and removed the protective payer.  Then I centered the word piece and pressed down.

I added Dimensionals around the whole back of the card and snail tape over the word piece.  I set this piece in place on top of the Whisper White piece.

I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and it's ready to go!

I love this layout and I am thinking of using it on the new "Witty-cisms" set.  But I may have to use die cuts instead of punches.  I need to think on that a bit more.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by,
Wanda
