Boo to You, Kid Friendly Halloween Card, 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I'm such a zombie fan and this guy is SO adorable.  I love this "Boo to You" set, it's SO kid friendly.  These creatures are just too stinkin' cute.  There's one more in the set that I have not used yet.  It's the wolf or wolfman.  I am struggling with what colors to use but I'll get him figured out soon and post a card.  And once I make him I will have used every image in the set.  I don't get to say that very often. Many times I buy a set for one image and if I use another it's a bonus!!  This set is easy to use and I love playing with it.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock.  It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock and textured it using the new "Stylish Scroll" embossing folder.  I taped it to the card base.

I cut a 2" x 4-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Monster Bash" 12" x 12" paper pack.  I cut a 2-1/8" x 4-5/8" piece of Basic Black card stock for the back layer.  But before I taped the two pieces together, I punched out three bats using the new tiny bat punch from the "Everyday Season" punch set.  There's four little punches in that set.  A leaf, a snowflake, the bat and a heart.  There's a stamp set that coordinates with it so you can stamp and punch. I just punched. I wanted the bats to be just black because of the contrast on the Pumpkin Pie card stock.  Okay, once I punched the bats, I taped the layers together and I set the piece in place on the embossed Pumpkin Pie layer using Dimensionals.

I stamped the mummy from the "Boo to You" set using black Memento ink and I die cut him using the largest "Stitched Oval" die.  I colored him using Blends pens. I used light and dark Granny Apple Green, light Balmy Blue, light and dark Smoky Slate and light and dark Highland Heather.  I added a little bit of light Smoky Slate under his feet for a shadow effect.  I added the two different sized googly eyes from the "Assorted Googly Eyes" pack.  I glued the eyes in place.  I think small glue dots would work, but I prefer to use glue.  I set the oval in place on the card front using snail tape on the left and Dimensionals on the right.

The words are from the same set and I stamped them using black memento ink.  I die cut it using the smallest circle in the circles and scalloped circles dies.  I set the circle in place using snail tape on the right and a Dimensional on the left.  I also colored three rhinestones with the Basic Black Blends pen. I set them in place under the words.

I set the bats in place using small Dimensionals.  And for the final touch, I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside and the card was complete.

I think he's SO darn cute.  I like these colors and I used them on the cover of my stamp set. I also colored in the monster but I still am waiting for the wolf/wolfman. I'll figure out a good color for him soon.  When I get done coloring the cover I'll take a picture and share it with you.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
