Today I'm going to share with you a fun gem I found on Pinterest.  You can see the original card here.  I only changed the ribbon and color because I didn't have ribbon to match. For my card I used Melon Mambo and Basic Gray.  What really caught my attention with this card was the confetti on the background layer.  It caught my eye and I wanted to make this card. I had to guess on the sizes because the original one had no instructions.
So here is what I did. I took a half sheet of Basic Gray and folded it in half for the base of the card.  Then I took a 1/4 sheet of Basic Gray and cut it to 4" x 5-1/4".  I stamped the confetti using Basic Gray ink.  I sponged the edges using Basic Gray ink.
The white panel was cut 2-1/2" x 4-1/2". First I stamped the balloon using Melon Mambo ink on Melon Mambo cardstock. I punched it out using the balloon punch. I set it on the Whisper White panel but I didn't tape it down. I wanted to eye where the string was going to go. I really didn't need to do that, you just line up the bottom of the balloon string with the edge of the cardstock. Leave about a 3/8" space between the edge of the cardstock and the curve of the balloon string. Then I set the balloon on top to see where I needed to stamp the bow. I removed the balloon and stamped the bow on. Then I added Dimensionals to the back of the balloon and set it in place on top of the string.
Next I stamped the words on using Basic Gray ink.
I set the focal piece in place using Dimensionals.  Then I tied the ribbon on.  Mine is a retired piece of Melon Mambo 1/4" ribbon.  I didn't have any current ribbon in that color. Once the bow was tied, I added Dimensionals to the back of that piece and set it in place on top of the card base.
It was a pretty simple and quick card.  I do like how it turned out.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
