Christmas Classics, Throughout the Year, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today have a quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. I think I'm still stuck in the "quick and easy" mode. Quick and easy is good. Especially this time of the year. With Thanksgiving just around the corner and then Christmas and all of the things that go along with that. Like cards, decorating, baking, shopping, cleaning. UGH! I'm tired already and I haven't even started!  Well, lets skip that for now and talk about today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the top of the card. I textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I glued it to the card base.

The holly image is from the "Christmas Classics" bundle using black Memento ink. I colored in the leaves using both light and dark Shaded Spruce Blends pens. Then I die cut them with the matching die from the same bundle.

The berries are from the same set and were stamped using Poppy Parade ink. I die cut them too.

Then I took a piece of white Baker's Twine and colored it with my dark Poppy Parade Blends pen. I let it dry for a bit before handling it. It's best to do that or your fingers will be all red.

I took some gold cord from the "Simply Elegant" trim package and wound it around a glue bottle three times. I used a glue dot on to hold the ends together. The holly piece was stuck to the glue dot too and set aside. The bow was tied and a little bit of glue was added to the front of the card and it was set in place. Then the holly piece was set in place on top of that. I added a couple of small Dimensionals to the holly and that part was done.

The words are from the "Throughout the Year" set and were stamped using Shaded Spruce ink. I fussy cut around them and added them to the front of the card using Dimensionals.  And the card was done.

This was SO quick to make and I would recommend coloring the twine first to get it plenty of time to dry.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda

Using the gold cord the way you did gives the look of a wreath. I really like the card.
