Petal Park, Go To Greetings, Just a Note Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello there! I'm glad you popped in today. I have a pretty card I found on Pinterest. You can see the original one here. I made a couple minor changes.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Balmy Blue card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the inside and one for the front. And then I cut another piece at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" for the top focal piece.

The first thing I did was I stamped the background from the "Petal Park" set using Granny Apple Green for the leaves piece. Then I colored them in using the Granny Apple Green light Blends pen.

Then the cluster of three flowers were stamped using So Saffron ink, one above and one on the bottom area.

Next the flowers were stamped using So Saffron ink and Balmy Blue ink. Now the fun thing about this set is that it has a matching punch. But did I buy the punch? No, I forgot to add that to my order. SO I fussy cut the flowers UGH!! But good news, I survived it! LOL No one likes fussy cutting but to make a pretty card sometimes you just have to. The smaller flowers had a Dimensional added to the back.

The words are from the "Go To Greetings" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a 1-3/4" x 5/8" piece of Basic White card stock. And then a Balmy Blue layer was cut at 1-7/8" x 3/4". The words were taped to it and Dimensionals were added to the back. The piece was set aside.

The card is now ready to assemble. I taped the two larger flowers in place. Then the smaller ones were added. Make sure you leave enough room for the word piece between the two smaller flowers.

I didn't have the embellishments that were on the original card so I colored some crystal rhinestones with my matching Blends pens.

I taped the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock on the inside and the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make, even with the fussy cutting. I do like how it turned out.  I think this card could work for a number of other occasions.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's just a note/friendship card,
Wanda
