Hand-Penned Petals. Friendship or Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello!  I'm SO happy you found your way to my blog. I have a quick and easy card to share with you. One that uses minimal supplies and is easy to swap out for materials you have.  Plus you get to use scrap pieces of Designer Series Paper (DSP)!

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and I textured it using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder.

Next I took a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP from the "Awash in Beauty" 12" x 12" package and I glued it to the bottom of the textured piece.

I took some white ribbon and wrapped it around the front of the card and taped the ends on the back.

The flowers were die cut using the "Hand-Penned Petals" bundle dies. I used Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight card stock. I die cut two Blushing Bride flowers and two Melon Mambo flowers. I saved the inside pieces from the Melon Mambo flowers and set them inside the Blushing Bride flowers. I cut a tiny triangle of Daffodil Delight card stock and glued it to he back of the flowers. If you click on the photo you might be able to see the Daffodil Delight dots in the center area of the flowers.

Then I die cut two sets of leaves using Old Olive card stock.

One flower was set in place using glue and the other was set in place using Dimensionals. Then I added a dot of glue to the stems of the leaves and slipped them under the flowers.

I do not know where the words are from so if you know what set they came from, please let me know so I can update it on here. They were stamped using Basic Gray card stock and were punched out using the "Double Oval" punch. The scalloped oval was made from the same punch on a scrap piece of Blushing Bride card stock. The word piece was glued to the scalloped piece, Dimensionals were placed on the back and the oval was set in place on the front of the card.

A bow was tied and glued in place and two half pearls were added to the center of each flower. And the card was done.

This was not what I had in mind and I'm not all that fond of it. Though I'm not sure what I could have done to improve it.

Update: I found where the "just a note" words came from. They are from the "Go To Greetings" set.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship/thinking of you card,
Wanda

Lovely card using that dsp and those die cut flowers. And I love that embossing folder you used!
