Color & Contour, Art Gallery, Scalloped Contours, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello. I'm glad you could make it here today to see my latest creation. I had no idea where I was going with this card when I started. I took a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock and folded it in half. Then I stared at it for a bit. All I knew was that I needed a birthday card.

I took out my "Color & Contour" bundle and stamped the flower on a piece of Basic White card stock. I die cut it out with the matching die and then I colored it in using both light dark Poppy Parade Blends and light and dark Granny Apple Green Blends pens.

Next I die cut a scalloped stitched rectangle using the die from the "Scalloped Contours" die set on Basic White card stock.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the flower and I set the flower in place on top of the scalloped rectangle. I was going to set this on the front of the card base but it just looked too plain. So I stared at it some more.  LOL

Then I took the rectangle die from the "Fabulous Frames" die set and die cut the large frame. You get a bonus with this die. You get a nice 3" x 4-1/4" rectangle to use on a future card.  I added small Dimensionals behind the rectangle frame and set it in place on the front of the card.

Then I set the scalloped piece in place in the middle.

The words are from the "Art Gallery" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I die cut them using the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I put Dimensionals on the back and set the piece in place on the upper left of the card. And the card was done.

For not knowing where I was going with this card, I was pleased at where I ended up. Now to sign it and get it ready to hand deliver!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
