Framed Florets, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

When I ordered the "Framed Florets" set/bundle there was also the "Framed & Festive" set that came with it or was promoted with it. It was filled with Christmas wording. I was glad that this bundle has other words and flowers with it because I REALLY like the oval die cut frames. SO I plan to make cards using these ovals and work in some of my other sets and Designer Series Papers (DSP). I believe this set is a buy early sneak peak from the upcoming January mini catalog. I found this card on Pinterest. You can see the original card here

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Succulent card stock for the layer. Before I taped this piece to the front of the card I die cut the leaves and "sprigs" from the center.

Next I took a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock and I textured it using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. I glued that on top of the soft Succulent piece.

Next I die cut both oval frames from the set. I saved the center of the largest one for the wording. Had I been smart I would have stamped the wording first and then die cut it but I die cut first and then I had to set up the wording and try to get it straight. I glued the larger oval frame down first and then the center with the words went next an then the single oval frame went on top of the first frame. The original card shows the top oval set in place using Dimensionals. I forgot to do that.  It still looks nice and it's only noticeable if you compare them.

The larger "sprig" type leaves were added using glue. Then the three smaller ones were added.

One small flower was glued in place and the other two were set in place using Dimensionals.

A pearl was added to the center of each flower and the card was done.

I thought it was a pretty card. Subtle and elegant looking.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
