Artistically Inked, Friendship Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Yes, my "Artistically Inked" stamp set was still sitting out. But to be fair, I saw this card on Pinterest before I was going to put the stamp set away.  Likely story, I know. But I'm sticking to it! LOL I did have to change it a little because of lack of supplies.  I had been looking on Pinterest for something quick and easy to make because I need to get it out in the mail tomorrow.  This was exactly that, fun, easy and pretty too!  I'm just trying to find some fun things to make while I bide my time for my order to come. Yup, today is the day to order from the new spring catalog.  Again, I overdid it and I'm hoping to use the sets enough to justify buying them!  So, onto today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. Then I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock that I textured using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. I glued that piece in place on top of the card base.

I looked in my "Expressions in Ink" Designer Series Paper (DSP) package and found some strips that I could use for this card.  My strip measured 2" wide and I cut it to 4-1/2" long. Then I cut a 2-1/8" x 4-5/8" piece of Shaded Spruce card stock for the layer. I glued that to the front of the card about 1/2" from the right side and the top and bottom.

I die cut 3 sets of leaves from the matching die set. I also punched out a few Basic White leaves from the "Symmetrical Stems" punch.

The words are from the "Artistically Inked set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock.  I die cut them using the stitched label from the "Tasteful Labels" dies.

I took some linen thread and wound it three times and used a couple of glue dots to hold it in place. I set them on the card where I thought the words would be hiding the glue dots.

I set the word piece over the area for placement of the leaves. Once the leaves were glued down then I added Dimensionals to the word piece and set it in place over all the ends of everything there!

I added some Champagne rhinestones to the front and the card was done.  Now to get it ready to be mailed.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make.  I love the layout and I can see myself making more and using up some of the strips in other packages of DSP.

Thank you SO very much for stopping by to see today's friendship card,
