Art Gallery, Fall Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I was wondering what other stamp sets I have that I can use fall colors to make the set more versatile. SO I grabbed the "Art Gallery" set off my shelf and some fall colors and I sat down to figure out a fun fall layout.  And this is what I came up with.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Cajun Craze card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut two pieces of Basic White card stock at 4" x 5-1/4".  I taped one to the inside and I set the outside piece aside.

I stamped the flowers from the "Art Gallery" set using Calypso Coral for the main part and Cajun Craze for the highlight image for two flowers. And the other two flowers were stamped using Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry inks. I debated on the Daffodil Delight because it was screaming "summer" but I went with it anyway. I could have toned it down a bit with some stamped off Pumpkin Pie ink but I decided to just see what happens with my first choices.

I stamped the leaves using Old Olive ink and I die cut the leaves and the flowers. I did cut off some of the leaves so I could tuck them in later.

I arranged the flowers and the stem with two leaves on it on the front of my card. Then I put another 4" x 5-1/4" piece of card stock on top and turned the piece over. I used some small pieces of scotch tape to hold the pieces together. I turned it over and added a bit of glue where the pieces seemed a bit weak.

I set the flowers on top of my Basic White piece so I could see where to stamp the words. The words are also from the "Art Gallery" set and were stamped using Cajun Craze ink. Then I taped this piece to the card base.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the flowers and leaves and it was set in place on the front of the card.

The leaves I cut off from stamping some extra stems were set in place with a little bit of glue. I chose glue because I wanted to make sure I could move them around a little if I needed to.  And that was it, the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make and I think it has a fall touch to it.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's fall birthday card,
Wanda
