Daisy Lane, Band Together, Birthday Card

I found this pretty card on Pinterest. The only bad thing is, it didn't lead to a blog or video that showed how the card was made. It's easy enough to make and I will share with you how I made it. You can see the original card here

I don't know what it is about this card, but I really like how it looks. Maybe it's the gray and white with that pop of yellow in the center. Whatever it is, I am still liking it an hour later.  And now it didn't take an hour to make this card. It's one of those really quick cards to make.  You will probably take more time reading this post than you will making the card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

On top of the card base is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Smoky Slate card stock.

I stamped the flower petals using Smoky Slate ink on Whisper White card stock. I cut out two of each size daisy from the "Daisy Lane" stamp set.  I really like this set, I especially like the ferny leaves.  I punched the flowers out using the "Large" and the "Medium" Daisy punches.  I glued the flowers together. The original card only had one small piece in the middle, I added two. I thought having it look fuller was prettier to me.

After putting the flowers together, I set the piece on top of the Smoky Slate piece to see where the ferny leaves would be stamped. I just kind of eyed it.  I stamped the top one first.  And when I went to stamp the bottom one, I just stamped it so the end of the image touched the other image. It's behind the flower so it won't show. If you get it crooked it's okay. It's behind the flower and no one is going to know!!! I stamped those leaves using Smoky Slate ink.

I stamped the words from the "Band Together" set using Basic Gray ink. The "Band Together" set is going to be retiring. I may have to make a card using that set, it's got a very pretty flower in it.

I put a small glue dot in the center where those two leaves met.  Then I took the silver thread and wrapped it around my spread fingers five times.  I took the part with the clipped ends and stuck it to the glue dot.  I added another small glue dot right next to the first one and I twisted the threads to for am "8" and I pressed the center of it onto the new glue dot.

I added a Dimensional to the back of the flower piece and I set it in place on top of the glue dots.

I added the flower center from the "Perennial Essence Floral Centers" embellishments.  Mine don't seem to have as much yellow on them as the original card does.  Maybe mine are molting!!! LOL But it's still a cool looking embellishment.

I added three rhinestones around the card and it was done!

This is a very quick card to make and super easy.  Have fun making one!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by,
