Daisy Lane, Butterfly Wishes, Detailed Bands Dies, Birthday Card

I found this card on Pinterest and it even has a video! The video is easy to follow along with. You can see it here. When I saw this card I knew I wanted to make it.  I love the "Detailed Bands" dies.  I had to order them.  They are SO elegant and will make GREAT wedding cards.  On and not only just wedding cards, but super easy and quick wedding cards if you used background papers.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock that was textured using the "Tufted" embossing folder.  Then the piece was sprayed with some glitter mist.  It actually showed up in the photo.  The whole piece has a nice sparkle to it.

Next I die cut the Mint Macaron "Detailed Band" piece.  I did trim the sides once I set it in place on the Blackberry Bliss piece.  I glued this piece in place and I only glued the center part.

Then I stamped the small flowers from the "Daisy Lane" set. I stamped six of them using Blackberry Bliss ink.  I taped two together so I had three flowers. I added a Dimensional behind two of them.

I didn't have the colored vellum so I took my Mint Macaron Blends Pen and colored it in and then punched it using the "Leaf Punch".  I punched out four of them.  I pressed my thumbnail to the center and pressed down and pushed the sides of the leaf up on the front and back of my thumb to make a light crease in the leaf.  You can also do this with your stylus.  "Draw" a line and fold the leaf slightly.

Then I stamped the words from the "Butterfly Wishes" set using Blackberry Bliss ink on Whisper White card stock.  The edges were sponged with Blackberry Bliss ink and then were set inside the Mint Macaron piece using Dimensionals.

The flowers were set in place.  The one on the left was set using Dimensionals and then two leaves were glued in under the flower. I did trim the stem a bit before gluing them in place.  The bottom right flower was set in place with glue, no Dimensional.  And the third flower was set in place using a Dimensional.  The center of the flowers were embellished with the gold faceted gems.  And the last two leaves were added. I did cut the stems a bit on those too.

And for the final touch, I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside and the card was done.  It's SO pretty.  This card was easy and fun to make. I love the new little daisy stamp and punch, such fun!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

Your card is beautifully made. I saw the detailed die in the book and only liked it now because of the way you made your card. I really like the way you put it all together.
