Snow is Glistening, Thoughtful Banners, Thank You Card

Today I needed to make a few thank you cards and since I still had stuff sitting out from yesterday, I thought I would work that template one up like you're supposed to. (And it turned out!!!  YAY!!!)  If you click here you can see how to use that template in yesterday's post.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White cards stock.  This card opens at the bottom.

I used the template to make my snowflake circle image.  I'm sure you could do the same type of circle if you lightly traced a circle onto the card stock and then stamped the snowflakes around it.  Though the template does position them perfectly.  I stamped my snowflakes from the "Snow is Glistening" set using Balmy Blue ink.  I layered the snowflakes with a 3" x 3" piece of Balmy Blue card stock. The piece the snowflakes are stamped on measures 2-7/8" x 2-7/8". It was made using the square die. You will need to use the square die to make the template and to also make the squares you want to stamp on, they need to fit in the template.

The words are from the "Thoughtful Banners" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink.

I cut two 1" strips of Designer Series Paper from the "Subtles" 6" x 6" paper stack.  I cut one at 5-1/2" and the other at 4-1/4".  I taped them in place. It doesn't matter which one you tape on first.  Then I added the snowflake layers using Dimensionals.  And for the final touch I added crystal rhinestones to the center of each snowflake.

What is really sad here is that I feel like I'm biding my time playing with the stamps sets I have while waiting for my order to arrive.  Which is kind of true but if the new stuff hadn't been available to order yet, I'd be playing with these sets and not whining about it!!! LOL I'm just anxious to play with the new stuff.  Oh my, I'm reverting back to a child!!! LOL

This was a fun card to make. I especially liked the simplicity in the layout.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda

Blue is my favorite so I find the color very appealing. I like the snowflakes and they look perfect.
It's always hard waiting for new toys to arrive. I haven't ordered anything new in quite a while but I have plenty of stuff that I have never used. I need to play but just can't seem to get myself to do it. I'm in a terrible slump
