Healing Hugs, Get Well Card

Well, you should know me by now. If the set is still sitting out (which usually means I was too lazy to put it away!), I will make another fun card with it.  I found this card here.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Gorgeous Grape card stock.  On top of that I layered a 2-1/8" x 5" piece of Highland Heather and a 1-7/8" x 4-3/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

Next I stamped the flower on some scrap Whisper White card stock.  I set it aside to dry a bit before I fussy cut it out.  While it was drying, I stamped the words from the "Healing Hugs" set using Granny Apple Green ink.  I used the Stamparatus to do the words and that is why they are darker than the leaves. I stamped the words several times to get them all nice and dark and evenly colored.

After I fussy cut the flower from the "Healing Hugs" set that I stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink, I fussy cut it out.  I set it on top of the word strip and then I stamped the leaves. I needed to see where the leaves needed to go.  There's lots of play with the leaves so I was good pretty much wherever I stamped them on that corner.  I taped the flower in place but only on the part that was touching the Whisper White word panel.  Then I taped the two layers together.  I added Dimensionals to the back of the word layers.  I didn't press them in place. I needed to cut a doily in half and tape it under the word panel in the area the flower is in.
I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card. I stamped the little flower image using Granny Apple Green ink and then I stamped the words using Gorgeous Grape ink.  And the card was done.

I thought it was a pretty quick card to make, even with the fussy cutting (which I HATE to do now that there are so many dies to go with cards - they have made me a lazy stamper!!! LOL).

There are over 1700 cards on my blog that can be made in under 20 minutes.  Click here to be taken to the link.

Update on the health issue.  I think I am now back among the living.  Not 100% but at lease I have a voice now.  Though I can't yell or it cuts out.  So hubby is safe for one more day!!! LOL  The cough is hanging in there as well as the stuffy nose.  UGH!! But I can't complain, it's SO much better than it was before!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
