Petal Palette, Swirly Bird, Dandelion Wishes, Share What You Love, Get Well Card

I found this fun card while surfing the net. You can see the original card here.

What caught my eye about the card was the flowers on the ring, plus the colors.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

I cut a 1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Tranquil Tide card stock and taped it to the edge of a 1" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper from the "Share What You Love" 12" x 12" paper pack. I set those two layers on top of the Whisper White piece but didn't tape it in place yet. I wanted to get the Crumb Cake rings piece die cut and set on the card front to know where the words should go.  The rings piece was die cut from the "Swirly Bird" set.
I stamped the words from the "Dandelion Wishes" set using Tranquil Tide ink.  I then taped the side layers down and I glued the ring in place.

I fussy cut the large flower and the small green flowers.  UGH!  You know how much I HATE fussy cutting!!! LOL   I also die cut 4 stems from the "Petal Palate" set.  The original card had some other stems that were stamped from the "Love What You Do" set.  Those were fussy cut. I had enough of fussy cutting and looked through my stamp sets to see what I could find that would work and didn't require fussy cutting! Oh SO lazy!!! LOL

I set the larger flower in place using a Dimensional and I added a clear faceted gem to the center. I used the medium size one.  Then I taped the flowers in place but I didn't press them down because I wanted to clip and slip the stems in place.  Once I did that I pressed the flowers down so the tape would stick to the card front.  I did add a Dimensional to the one flower at the bottom part of the larger flower. I added small rhinestones to each of the green flowers and the card was done.

Isn't it pretty? I love this layout and I think it would be fun to try something like that using a Christmas theme. I promise I won't do too many Christmas cards before Halloween. Though I will sneak one in now and then when the inspiration hits me! But for the most part I will try to wait until after Halloween to hit it harder with the Christmas cards.

I thank you ever SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
