Halloween Hello Tic Tac Holder Weekend Project

I thought I would play with the new Envelop Maker again.  I am SO into those file folder cards.  I thought it would be fun to make a Tic Tac folder holder!

It's a lot easier to make than it looks.

First you need a piece of Basic Black card stock that measures 7-5/8" x 2-1/2".  Insert the short end into the cutter part of the envelope maker.  On my envelope maker I took a permanent marker and made a line right down the center of the cutter opening.  This way I know where center is each time I need to make a file folder card.  So once I got the left side cut I just slid the piece over and lined it up on my marker line and punched out the other side.  I flipped the strip around and did the same for the other end.

Next I folded the piece in half.  I set the Tic Tacs inside the holder and folded the front piece up over the Tic Tacs.  Then I used my bone folder to make nice sharp creases.  Scoring lines are measured at 3-3/4" and 4-3/8" if you need measurements!

Next I cut my decorative paper piece, it measures 2-1/4" x 2-7/8".  Then I used the Envelope Maker on the corners like I did for the Basic Black piece.  Once punched I taped it in place.

I stamped the witch from the "Halloween Hello" set.  I punched her out using the 1-1/4" circle punch, then the Pumpkin Pie piece using the 1-3/8" circle punch and then the scallop circle punch.  I taped them together and set them on the front of the piece using Dimensionals.

On the inside I just took a scrap piece of Basic Black card stock to make a band for the Tic Tac case to sit.  I don't have any measurements as it was a piece of scrap.  I set my scrap strip on top of the Tic Tac container and centered it.  You do need a piece long enough to wrap around the sides and to the back. It only needs to go about a 1/2" around the back.  That is the part of the strip you will be gluing to the inside of the holder.  Once I got my strip wrapped around the container I removed it and used my bone folder to get some nice crisp folds.  Then I set it back on the container.  I added glue to the back of the strip on each side and set the container inside the holder.  Make sure the container bottom is at the bottom of the holder.  Hold in the sides of the strip so it's tight against the container and press down onto the inside of the holder.  I closed the front part and set a punch on top of it for weight to hold it down while the glue set.

Next I used the Modern Label punch and punched out a Pumpkin Pie piece.  The "Happy Halloween" came from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set.  I stamped it using black StazOn and punched it out with the "Word Window" punch.  I taped it to the Pumpkin Pie piece and I taped that in place on the tab of the holder.

After I got this all posted I thought the witch could use a little color so I put a moon behind her by punching a circle from card stock, using that as my template I then sponged on Daffodil Delight.  And on the inside strip around the Tic Tacs I used some Washi tape to dress that up as well.  I seem to see these things after I've gotten the photos taken and the post almost all done!!

This was a fun little project and I can't wait to try it with my Christmas stamps next month.  I'm not going to post anything Christmas this month at all.  The season arrives fast enough as it is.  I have a few more Halloween things to post and some fall stuff.  I have plenty to keep me going so I won't be posting Christmas this month.

Have fun making these!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
