Dainty Flowers, Around the Bend, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

So happy you made it here to see today's thank you card. I found it on Pinterest and changed it just a little. You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

The first thing I did was I took the floral piece from the "Dainty Flowers" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP) and trimmed the sides. These flowers ran down the center of the sheet that contained the ovals (that I made a card with a couple of days ago and you can see that card by clicking here). I cut the DSP to measure 5-1/4" long and the sides were trimmed up a bit. You can measure your piece after you trim your sides and add 1/4" more to the Fresh Freesia layer that will be 5-1/4" long. I taped the DSP to the layer.

Then I took a scrap piece of Basic White card stock and die cut the pretty trimmed piece using the die from the "Basic Borders" die set. You don't need to make this piece very wide, just big enough to tape to the back of the Fresh Freesia layered piece. I taped mine together and set it aside.

I cut a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP from the "Dainty Flowers" package. That dotted paper is SO pretty. I taped it to the front of the card on the right side. Then I taped the floral piece in place over the top of that.

The words are from the "Around the Bend" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I die cut them with the 4th stitched circle in the "Stylish Shapes" die set. And then I die cut a scalloped circle from the "Layering Circles" die set using Fresh Freesia card stock. I taped the two circles together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card. And the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make, plus I got to use that center strip from the ovals sheet. I still have another strip of flowers because there were two down the center and I plan on making another card to use up that sheet!  How nice to actually use up a full sheet of DSP!!! What's a big plus about this card is that it can be used for other occasions, I chose thank you but a birthday card, thinking of you card, get well card, Mother's Day card and even a sympathy card. SO versatile and that's why I really like this card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda
