Best Witches, Halloween Card, Kid Friendly, Fall Mini Catalog 2022 Stampin' Up!

I had a piece of scrap Designer Series Paper (DSP) left over from a card I made last week. The DSP is from the "Celebrate Everything" 12' x 12" stack.  There's LOTS of fun sheets in this stack and for lots of occasions.  This piece in particular has ghosts and pumpkins on the backside. I had colored in the pumpkins using my light and dark Pumpkin Pie Blends pens. It was just sitting on my worktable and I thought it looked fun so I decided to use that side of the piece for my card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Granny Apple Green card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Gorgeous Grape for the layer. I textured it using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. I also cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the inside. I taped both to the card.

Next I cut a layer to fit my piece of DSP. My DSP measured 2-7/8" x 3-3/8" and the Granny Apple Green layer measured 3" x 3-1/2". I stamped the words from the "Best Witches" set using black Memento ink. I taped the two layers together and added Dimensionals to the back.

The frog is from the same "Best Witches" set and was stamped using Basic Black ink. I've had the black Memento ink bleed too many times because it's an alcohol base too. But Basic Black is a water based ink so I knew it would be fine using Blends Pens.  As long as the ink was dry before I started coloring. I colored the frog in using both light and dark Granny Apple Green Blends pens. I punched him out using the "Double Oval" punch. I also punched out the layer behind the frog using Granny Apple Green and the same punch. I taped the frog oval to the scalloped layer.

To assemble, I set the DSP layered piece in place using Dimensionals. I moved the piece over to the left.

I added a Dimensional to the right side of the oval and tape to the left. I set the oval in place and the card was done.

This was a fun, quick, and easy Halloween card to make.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,
Wanda
