Snowflake Splendor, Banner Year, Christmas Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

My card today was made using a layout I found on the internet.  You can see the original here. I had to search again for it because my computer had an update and it wouldn't allow me to do anything else until I updated.  GRRRR.  When I found where the image came from I also found there was a video. That would have been SO much easier to create this card! LOL But I managed to make the card close to what the original looked like.  I like how mine turned out so I'm okay with all the struggle.  I may try to follow the video sometime because I do like this layout.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  My card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was cut and then textured using the new "Winter Snow" embossing folder.  This folder has such soft, sweet and delicate snowflakes. I set this piece in place on top of the card base using Dimensionals.

I die cut my circles using all four of the "Stitched Circles" dies. I used the new "Snowflake Splendor" Designer Series Papers (DSP).  I had cut full circles. The video showed half circles. If you do full circles you can make two cards.  I'm just saying this because I have left overs to make two cards! If you follow the video you will be making just one card.  I cut the circles in half and taped them together along the straight edge and on one side. The other side was made using the opposite papers (except the center color, that stayed the same).  I put a piece of Scotch tape to one half of the straight side so I could press the other side to it after I lined it up.

I smallest circle was cut out of Whisper White card stock and it was taped on top of the lower part of the DSP half circles.

The words are from the new "Banner Year" set. I stamped then using Night of Navy ink. I had used a scrap strip that measured 3-1/2" long by 1/2" wide.  I stamped it more towards the center so I could tuck the left side under the Whisper White circle.

I die cut a snowflake using the new "Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper".  I set it in the center of the circle using a small Dimensional.

I colored some crystal rhinestones using my light Night of Navy Blends Pen.  I set the larger one on the center of the snowflake and I scattered the smaller ones around the card.  And the card was done.  I do like how it tuned out.  And I think I will follow the video and see if I can make this card easier.  I am thinking this may be our Christmas card this year.  Well, part of the cards. I have some I started and I'm about 2/3's the way done with my cards. I want to be done with them early this year.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda

I love the way you used those circles. It's such a fun way to use them.
