Back on Your Feet, Wobble Technique, Get Well Card

A few days ago I made a "Wobble" card and I thought it would be fun to make another one.  You can see the card I made a few days ago by clicking here.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

On top of the card base is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Old Olive card stock.  Punch out 3/4" to 1" circles from it before you tape it to the card base.  Or you can use a scrap piece of Old Olive.

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock for the front layer.

I stamped the words on the front of the oval cut piece.

I die cut an oval using the largest "Stitched" oval dies.  I saved that oval for another project down the road. No, nothing in mind, I just seem to save everything. If you saw my workroom you'd know I'm not kidding.

I had a scrap piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Perennial Essence" 12" x 12" paper pack.  I taped it to the back of the oval. Make sure it's smaller than the 3-3/4" x 5" piece.  Then tape the Whisper White piece to the Old Olive layer.

I stamped the turtle from the "Back on Your Feet" set.  I just love this turtle.  I colored it in using my Blends pens. I used both light and dark, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight. And I used the light Soft Suede.

I punched a whole in the center of two of the circles.

I took some 24 gauge wire and wound it around my Sharpie pen. Not the big old fashioned Sharpie but the finer point one.  You can use anything to wind it around as long as it is round.  I wound it around the pen four times.  I made sure the ends were sticking out about a half inch for both.  I removed the wire from the pen. I inserted one end of the wire through the hole in the circle. I bent the wire so it stuck to the tape. Then I added another piece of strong tape over that.

For the other end I did the same thing.  After adding the strong tape over the wire, I added the other circle. The one that didn't have the hole in it. Make sure you have the tape side on the outside to affix it to the bunny or the front of the card.  It doesn't matter which end goes where.

Remove the protective covering from the strong tape and tape one end to the back of the bunny.  Then remove the tape on the other end and eye where you'd like the turtle to be and press the circle in place.

And you're done!  Give the turtle foot a little flick.  My turtle's foot is at about the 2 o'clock position. I just pulled it lightly to the 3 o'clock position and let go.  It's fun and cute!  Now give it a try!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by.
I hope you are feeling well and are safe.
