Snow Front, Itty Bitty Christmas, Christmas Card, 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I found this fun card while surfing the net.  I just had to make it.  You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Balmy Blue card stock.  On top of that is a 4-5/8" x 3-3/8" piece of Early Espresso card stock.  And the Whisper White piece was cut 4-1/2" x 3-1/4".

The original card used Shimmery paper.  I don't know if I had any. I had some Whisper White sitting out so I used that and the card turned out just fine.

First I stamped the left mountains using Balmy Blue ink.  Then I stamped the right mountains with the ink that was left on the stamp.  The stamp set used here is "Snow Front". It's a very fun set and it has SO many possibilities.  I need to just sit alone with the set and not look at anything on the net and see what I can come up with.

The tree went on next.  It was stamped using Early Espresso ink.

The line at the bottom of the tree was added using Balmy Blue ink.

The birds were next and they were stamped using Real Red ink.

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Christmas" set. I stamped them using Early Espresso ink.  There's a lot of fun holiday words in that set. I'm sure you will be seeing it being used in the upcoming weeks. I bought the bundle and that means it has the "Christmas Layers" dies to go with it.  Those are fun and I look forward to playing with them too.  I punched the words out using the 1-1/2" circle punch.  What I also liked about this was the circle didn't have a layer behind it.  It just stood on it's own.  The circle was set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done!

I think I want to make our annual card using this set.  I need to play with it some and see what I can come up with. I like to try to have my cards done by Thanksgiving so Thanksgiving night I can start writing in them and addressing them. I try to get them out by December first.  Then it gets pushed back to December 10th and so on. On year it was the week before Christmas.  Not at all how I planned it!!!  The holidays are always such a busy time but we manage, don't we?

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

This is a really beautiful scene on the card. I love the new Balmy Blue color!

I know what you mean about getting cards out early because one year they got Happy New Year letters instead.

This a beautiful card and to my liking, easy and simple. Great for multiples. I just started my Christmas cards but caught a virus so on the couch. Cards on hold!
