Flourishing Phrases, Flourish Thinlits, Thank You Card

Today I was in need of a thank you card and as I was looking at the cards that popped up on Pinterest, this one caught my eye.  You can see the original card here.  I did change it a little but not much.  The changes I made were to add a smaller lacy flower die inside the top right stamped flower and to add a leaf to it as well.  Oh and I did change the base of the card.  The original base is Whisper White.  I used the Sweet Sugarplum cardstock and then a layer of Whisper White that was cut 4" x 5-1/4".  The only reason I changed that was because I didn't notice it until I was ready to assemble the card.  But it's okay, I think it's pretty either way.

This was a fun and simple card to make.  I took a folded half-sheet of Sweet Sugarplum for the base of the card.  Then I added a layer of Whisper White that was cut 4" x 5-1/4".  I stamped the flowers using Sweet Sugarplum ink, but first I stamped off once.  I did that for all three flowers.  Then I die cut the flowers using Sweet Sugarplum cardstock.  The leaves were die cut using Emerald Envy card stock.  And the lacy strip at the bottom was die cut using Sweet Sugarplum cardstock.

I taped the flowers in place at their centers only.  Then I added the dots to the middle.  They are the "White Perfect Accents" dots that I colored with a light pink Sharpie marker.

I glued the lacy strip at the bottom and then stamped the words on.  After that I added the ribbon.  For my ribbon, I cut a length of ribbon and taped the ends to the back.  You can tie it all the way around if you like.  I don't think you save a whole lot of ribbon doing it the way I did but if you were doing a bunch for a swap, I'm sure you would be saving then.  But for one card, I kind of doubt you save much.  But I don't do it to save on ribbon.  I do it because I like to add the knot separately.  That way I can slide it to the exact spot I want it to be!  Once I got the knot tied on I taped the piece to the base of the card.  I added a piece of Whisper White to the inside and it was done.  It was a fun card to make and simple enough to do too, plus I LOVE the colors!!!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda

Another beautiful card. The only thing I would change is the thank you to something else as I don't have use for many thank you cards.Thank you for sharing.
