Express Yourself Anniversary Card

Pretty, isn't it?  Of course it is.  I have great taste when it comes to finding cards that other people make!!! LOL   I ran across this card while blog surfing.  I bet you thought I was going to say Pinterest, ddin't you?  LOL  Well, I will be heading there later but for now I need to finish this post and clean up my worktable.  Yup, I have to clean it off now and then.   Most of the time I wait until I have stampers over and I clean up the night before!! I'm so bad about keeping my worktable cleaned off.  I just push stuff over and move onto the next project! Oops, I rambled off in a different direction!!  Easy distracted, huh? LOL  I found this card at Tracie's "For the Love of Stamping" blog.

This was such a pretty card that I had to copy most of it.  I used the "Butterflies" Sizzlet instead of hearts.  I did keep it an anniversary card.  The words where are from the Hostess set "Express Yourself" set. They were embossed in gold.

I got to use a doily.  I have so many of them and when I can find a pretty card that has a doily on it you can bet I'm going to make one like it!

Last Thursday when I was at Terri's FABULOUS Stamp-a-Stack I had left over Washi tape and I brought it home with me.  I wasn't sure what I was going to use it for but I found this little gem on the net and I was glad I had the extra tape.  I did order some and it will be here next week.  I am glad I was able to make this card today.  I often find fun cards to make and I save them in an email or a file and I end up forgetting about them.

And the focal panel is set in place on top of a piece of the Brushed Gold card stock.  I have a lot of that in my stash too.  I don't know how I accumulated so much of it but it is nice to use it now and then!

This was a fun card to make and in spite of the embossing (which takes a little time) this card went together rather quickly!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
