Artistically Inked, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I went to take a look at my scheduled posts and this card was missing it's photo.  Now, not having the greatest memory, I thought I forgot to add the photo.  So I went the post back to draft mode and was going to add the photo.  Everything was gone.  My whole post was gone, photo, links and words were all gone.  UGH. Thisis very disheartening because now I have to try to remember what I wrote and anything different I did.  SO, here it goes.

The original card came from a video that Terri Gaines posted on YouTube.  She's a phenomenal stamper. I love the techniques she uses and the way she makes her cards. Even with only a single stamp and a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) she can make a card look SO elegant.  Much like today's card. It has her name written all over it!

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Pumpkin Pie card stock.  Using this color you can make this card work from spring to late fall.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

Two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock was cut. One for the inside and one for the front. The front piece was stamped on the left side using the long watercolor image in the "Artistically Inked" set and Pumpkin Pie ink. The stamp takes care of the light and dark areas on it's own. I love that look on the stamps.  The words were also done using Pumpkin Pie ink. You will want to do them before you texture the piece.

The piece was then textured using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder and glued in place on the front of the card.

The circle was die cut using the two largest circle dies in the "Layering Circles" die set using gold foil card stock.  I also cut the open leaves using gold card stock. They are from the "Artistically Inked" bundle. It was cut in half and both pieces were used to make the card.

The flower is from the "Artistically Inked" set and was stamped using a modified Rock n Roll technique. I'll et Terri show you how it's done. You will be amazed and will probably never use the old way again.  The flower was sprayed with rubbing alcohol and then scrunched up and then straightened out and set aside to dry.

The leaves were stamped using Granny Apple Green ink and were die cut and then sprayed and scrunched like the flower was. I forgot to do that to my leaves but they still look good.

The flower center was stamped and die cut out. The center was also stamped with the dotted image and Versa Mark with gold embossing powder added.

After the card was assembled the rhinestones were added and the card was done.

I SO love the look of this card. I love the look of the modified Rock n Roll technique. I had to try it twice when I made this card because I loved the look so much and it was so easy. It also mutes the color to it's not so bright.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see this fun modified technique,
Wanda

Hand-Penned Petals, Wedding or Anniversary Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

And once again, today's card came from Pinterest. I loved the scalloped border but I didn't have the same die as the one on the original card, so I used what I had. You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Whtie card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer.  I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Hand-Penned" 12" x 12" package. You could get by cutting it at 4" x 4".

I took the scallpped die from the "Penned Flowers" dies (they match the "Hand-Penned" set) and I die cut a piece of Basic White card stock. I used a 4" x 3" piece because I wanted to make sure I got it long enough.  I cut the edge and then I set it on top of the front of the card. From the tip of the scallop to the top edge, the piece measures 1-1/2".

The strip on the top is a scrap piece of the DSP. I didn't have the matching ribbon so I improvised with a piece of the DSP.  Though I think a strip of the Pale Papaya card stock might have been prettier, the top looks like it's missing something.

Next I die cut the largest circle in the "Layered Circles" pack using a piece of Pale Papaya card stock. I set the circle as far to each edge so I had some scrap to die cut the leaves from the "Penned Flowers" dies. I cut two of the larger sets and one of the smaller.

The flowers were die cut using Basic White card stock. If I'd been thinking, I would have cut them from the center of the Basic White piece I taped down on top of the card base.  But I have plenty of scrap white so I was good. I do need to use that up too. I did add some Wink of Stella to the flowers to give them a bit of a sparkle.  It did add a lot. I doesn't show up in the photo but it is there!

In the "Penned Flowers" dies is a larger detailed flower/leaves die. That is what I used for the Soft Succulent (green) image.

I glued the Soft Succulent piece on top of the circle. Then I added the two Basic White flowers using Dimensionals. I didn't add any Dimensionals where the flowers overlap.  Well, I did but I had to carefully remove it because it didn't lay nice!! (confession time here!  LOL). Then I glued the tips of the Pale Papaya leaves in place.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the circle and the cirlce was set in place on the front of the card.

The original card did not have words so I used the ones from the set and I punched them out using my retired "Modern Label" punch and I snipped the ends. If you don't have a punch you can cut the piece to 3/8" x 2-7/8".  A Dimensional was added to the left side and glue was added to the right and the piece was set in place.

Tiny pearls were added to the scallops. I was going to do every other scallop but it didn't work out evenly across the card so I just added one to each bump! And the card was done.

I like the looks of this card. I think it's the color that is most pleasing to me.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this sweet card,

Hand-Penned Petals, Get Well Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Don't you just love the Pale Papaya color?  It's one of my favorite in-colors.  When I saw this card on Pinterest I was drawn to the color and I just had to make one. You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I did fold mine in half and then I cut off 1" off the front.

I cut a 5-1/4" x 1" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Hand-Penned" 12" x 12" package.

I cut a 3" x 5-1/4" piece of Pale Papaya card stock and I textured it using the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder. I didn't have the same one used on the original card but this one worked, it has flowers and they seem to fit with the stamped image.

The flower on the front is from the "Hand-Penned Petals" set and was stamped using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I die cut the piece out using the matching die.

I stamped the solid part of the flower using Pale Papaya ink. Then I used the light Pumpkin Pie Blends Pen to color the darker areas of the flowers. The center of the small flower was colored in using the dark Daffodil Delight Blends Pen. I added a little bit of Wink of Stella to the center of that flower. I used my light and dark Mint Macaron Blends Pens for the leaves and stems.

I loved how the stitched circle looked so I die cut one to use on my card. It is retired but I like the looks of it so I went with it. If you don't have the stitched circle you can die cut a circle that measures around 2-7/8".  It can be a little larger or smaller, it will work.

The Circle was placed in my Stamparatus and the words from the "Hand-Penned Petals" set were stamped using black Memento ink. The smarter way to do this would be to stamp the words first and then die cut. It makes it SO much easier!! Once the circle was cut, I glued the flower in place.

Then the circle was set on top of the card where I thought it should go and I held it place while I drew a light pencil line on the back so I knew not to add Dimensionals there. After all, I do want the card to open, right?

Once the Dimensionals were added I erased that pencil line. I hope by now you've gone to your local craft or art supply store and picked up a kneadable eraser. I think you can get them on Amazon but they are very expensive there.  They are the best for removing pencil/graphite without leaving any marks on your paper. It won't remove any paper and there is no eraser stubble either but I still wipe my hand across it like there is. Old habits die hard!  You won't regret getting one. The only time there is a mark is if you write/draw too hard and leave an indention on your paper.  Anyway, I highly recommend you get one. After erasing my pencil line I added the circle to the front of the card and the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make. It doesn't take long to make either. And this is such a nice layout. I like the strip on the inside, it adds a lot to the front and to the inside at the same time.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this fun layout and easy card,

Artistically Inked, Forever Fern, One Sheet Wonder Stamping Technique

I LOVE "One Sheet Wonders", don't you? You stamp all over a sheet of card stock and then cut it up and have lots of cards (depending on how much you cut!). For this one I was able to make four cards.  I found this card here and I did have to make some changes due to not having all the items that were used on the original piece.  There's a video so you can follow along.

To start out there's a word image that I didn't have so I ended up using the long watercolor type image in the "Artistically Inked" set with Soft Sea Foam ink. It gave me the same effect. The purpose was to tone the brightness of the white card stock down some.

Then the large flowers were stamped using Blushing Bride ink. The centers of the flowers were stamped using Daffodil Delight ink. The smaller roses were added using Pale Papaya ink.

Next the larger leaves were added using Soft Sea Foam ink and Pear Pizzazz ink was used for the small leaf clusters that came from the "Forever Fern" set.

There's a cluster of three small flowers in the "Artistically Inked" set that were stamped using Pool Party ink.

And the dotted images were added using the stamp from the "Forever Fern" set and Crumb Cake ink and then some more were stamped using Blushing Bride ink.

The gold part of the large flowers was added using the flower highlights from the"All Things Fabulous" set. I didn't have the stencil that was used on the original card so I looked through my sets to see what would work. I inked it up with Versa Mark and stamped it and then I inked it up again and turned it 180 degrees and stamped it again. Then the Heat and Stick powder was added and then the gold foil on top of that.  I am happy with how mine turned out.

And since I didn't have the stencil I couldn't do the last step of adding the design to the open areas.  I was still happy with how mine turned out.

Once you're done you cut the card stock to 4" x 5-1/4".  Trying to keep the white corners. What you cut off in the middle can be used inside the cards.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock. My card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.  A 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Blushing Bride card stock was cut for the layer and then the stamped piece was added. The Blushing Bride piece was set in place using Dimensionals. The focal piece was taped in place, or glued if you prefer.

The words are from the "Artistically Inked" set and were stamped using Soft Suede ink. They were die cut using a die from the "Ornate Frames" set. The words were set in place with Dimensionals and the card was done.

What I liked best about this is how I was able to end up with 4 beautiful cards.  Each one unique in it's own way. This could be used for many other occasions too. So fun and so pretty!  I don't know how quick it is to make, it took me a while because I kept stopping the video to get the items I needed for the next step. But if I were to make another sheet right now it wouldn't take long at all!

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop by today and see this fun technique,

All Things Fabulous, Art Gallery, Thinking of You Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I tought the card I found today was so elegant looking and of course, I just had to make one. You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and texture it using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. I just love the look of this folder.  The original card left that layer plain but I thought it could use some texture. I taped this to the card base, actually I glued it because I have trouble with tape sticking on textured pieces.

Next I die cut the lacy looking piece from a piece of Basic White card stock. It came from the "Fabulous Florals" dies.  I glued this piece in place. The center of each square has a solid area to add a dot of glue to and set it in place. It's set about 3/8" up and 3/8" over from the textured piece.

The flowers are from the "All Things Fabulous" set and were stamped using Highland Heather ink for the main part and Gorgeous Grape ink for the centers. Then they were die cut and set aside. When the flowers were being die cut, I also die cut the leaves from the sides of the BaicWhite piece. You need four for this card.

The Pool Party image is from the same "All Things Fabulous" set and after stamping were die cut out. You need three for this card.

Next I took some gold cording and I made the loops and set them in place with a few glue dots. Sometimes I will add a little glue or even use scotch tape to hold them down.

The flowers were set in place using Dimensionals. Make sure you don't add any Dimensionals to the left side of the right flower or it will stick up funny. This side of the flower needs to be taped to the top of the left flower.

I used glue to slip the white leaves in place and I also used glue to slip the  Pool Party flowers in place.

The words are from the "Art Gallery" set and were stamped using Soft Suede ink and were die cut using the die from the "Art Gallery" bundle. Then they were set in place with a Dimensional on each end and doublesided tape in the middle and the card was done.

I REALLY like how this card turned out. I love how elegant it looks. It could be a nice wedding, anniversary, thank you, birthday, get well, Mother's Day and of course thinking of  you.  It's such a versatile card and stamp set.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's elegant and versatile card,

Sweet Ice Cream, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

While I was looking for something else on Pinterest, I ran across this card and there was something about it that caught my eye and I had to give it a try. I didn't have enough Bermuda Bay card stock so I improvised.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. The original card is done using a half-sheet of Bermuda Bay card stock. I did like that look so I just scaled down the layers to make the Basic White card base work.

The Bermuda Bay layer was cut at 4-1/8" x 5-3/8". And the Pool Party layer on top of that was cut at 4" x 5-1/4".  There, now I got the colors that were used on the original card and could have a Basic White card base. I taped the two layers together and then I taped them to the front of the card.

I cut a scrap piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Ice Cream Corner" 12" x 12" package. My scrap measured 1-1/2" wide and I cut it to 4-1/2" long. I was glad I was able to use that strip of DSP. You can make your DSP piece wider if you'd like. I just went with the piece I had. I cut a 1-5/8" x 4-5/8" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock for the layer. I taped those two layers together and then I taped it to the left side of the card.

The focal piece is cut from a piece of Basic White and it measures 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" and the Bermuda Bay layer was cut at 2-3/8" x 3-3/8".

I took the Basic White piece and I stamped the dots using the image from the "Sweet Ice Cream" set using Pool Party ink. The words were added next. They are from the same "Sweet Ice Cream" set and were stamped using Soft Suede ink.  I taped those two layers together and then taped it to the front of the card.

I stamped the ice creams using Petal Pink, Crushed Curry and Soft Sea Foam inks. I punched them out using the matching punch. I stamped the sprinkles using Soft Suede ink.

The cone was stamped using Cinnamon Cider ink and the "texture" was stamped using Soft Suede ink. I punched that piece out.

I glued the Soft Sea Foam colored ice cream to the top of the cone. Then I glued the Crushed Curry ice cream to the Soft Sea Foam ice cream and then the Petal Pink ice cream was glued in place.  I added Dimensionals to the back and I set the piece in place on the Basic White focal piece.

I had some pale yellow rhinestones so I thought I'd add them to the focal piece and the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. I SO love this ice cream set. I saw another fun and clever card made using this set and I'm thinking about giving it a try since it involves images that I have not used yet. I'd like to say that I used every image in this set before it retires (whenever that is)!

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop by and see this fun ice cream cone birthday card,

Sweet Ice Cream, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

The "Sweet Ice Cream" set/bundle is another one of my great purchases. This set is great to use for both male and female adults and children. You just can't go wrong with this set. There's also fudgesicle shaped images in the set that I haven't used yet. It's on my list! I want to try to use every image in the set. I have very few sets that I can say that. Too many times I buy a set for one or two images in it.  I bought this set for the ice cream, ice cream cone, sprinkles and the happy birthday words.  But I will be using the other images sometime soon.  Hopefully before winter when ice cold ice cream on a stick isn't tempting!!! LOL  I did find this card on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. The link didn't lead to who made the card or how it was made, so here is how I did it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Gorgeous Grape card stock. a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White was taped to the inside.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Highland Heather was cut for the layer. And the top Basic White piece was cut at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".

I used the second largest "Stitched with Whimsy" die on the Basic White piece. I tried to get it as even all around as I could. I used a couple of small strips of post it note tape to hold it down so it wouldn't shift on me when I cut it.

Next I stamped the ice cream. On a large scrap of Basic White card stock, I used Gorgeous Grape to stamp all three of the ice creams with one inking. These are first, second and third generation stampings. Meaning, I didn't ink the stamp again, only once to get all three ice creams. I stamped Gorgeous Grape inked sprinkles on the two lighter ice creams.  Then I punched them out using the matching "Ice Cream Cone Builder" punch.

The cone was done using the Designer Series Paper "Ice Cream Corner".  There are two sheets full of tiny ice cream cones and on the backside is that wonderful cone paper. I punched out a cone. I glued the lightest ice cream to the top part of the cone. Then I glued the middle cone and then the dark one on top. I set the ice cream cone on top of the Basic White piece to see where the words were going to go.

The words were stamped using Gorgeous Grape ink and they are from the same "Sweet Ice Cream" set.

Now all the stamping was done and I was ready to assemble. I taped the Basic White piece to the Highland Heather piece and I added Dimensionals to the back. It was then set in place on top of the Gorgeous Grape card base.

The ice cream was set in place using Dimensionals. I added some light purple sprinkles to the top ice cream using glue and the sprinkles form the "Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles" container.  You can't have the set without those sprinkles!!!

I had some ribbon that matched so I used it on my card. I'm sure it's either retired or obsolete or both! But it matched close enough so I went with it.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. I love the 3rd generation stamping.  Even second generation is fun too but with darker colors third is even more fun.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by today to see this sweet ice cream card!

All Squared Away, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I'm still on the hunt for samples from the "All Squared Away" set that catch my eye. I want to at least feel like I've used the set enough to not feel guilty about buying it. I have made several cards using the set but not quite enough yet.  But I am finding fun ones to play with! I found my card today on Pinterest. You can see the original card here with a few minor changes.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.  I used the largest "Stitched withWhimsy" die on the front. This die just makes the stitch marks and does not cut all the way through.  It gives the front of the card a nice border.

I die cut the flower square from the "All Squared Away" set on Pear Pizzazz card stock.

Then I die cut the flower and the three tiny flowers using Crushed Curry card stock.

The background behind the frame was stamped using the dotted image from the "All Squared Away" set. I lightly sponged on Balmy Blue. I wanted a light blue background and that was the lightest blue I could find. And I think it worked! I traced the square around the stamped square and when I cut it, I cut it inside the pencil lines.

Next I glued the flower frame to the square. I chose glue becaues of the small area I had to work with plus I needed to be able to move it in case I didn't get it lined up right.  Then I set the square on top of the card so I could see where the words were going to go.

The words are from the same "All Squared Away" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.

Then the square was taped in place.

The flowers were glued in place. I colored each flower with Wink of Stella. Then pearls were added to the center of each one and the card was done.

This was a fun and easy card to make. I do like how it turned out. I could see myself making more like this.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and have a look at this squared frame card,

Artistically Inked, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Okay, I just had to make one more card using the "Artistically Inked" set before I put it back on the shelf. Oh and when I was done making this card, I did put the set back on the shelf. It will have a little rest while I play with some other sets! I found this card on Pinterest but I had to make a few small changes. You can see the original card here.

The base of the is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I wanted to use a half-sheet of the Polished Pink but I had only purchased a variety package and I didn't have enough. So I worked with what I had.  I suppose I could have used Melon Mambo because it's pretty close in color but I REALLY like the Polished Pink color. So the Basic White card base had to do. And it did well!!

I cut my piece of Polished Pink to 4" x 5-1/4" and then I die cut the flower from the center of it.  My die is from the "Artistically Inked" bundle and the die package is called "Artistic Dies" Then I cut a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Basic White for the top layer. I taped the two layers together and then I taped that to the front of the card.

I took a scrap piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "In Colors" 6" x 6" stack. I REALLY love the designs of the papers this time around!! I cut the scrap piece to 1-1/4" x 3-7/8" and I taped it to the bottom of the top Basic White layer.

The words are from the "Artistically Inked" set and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Black Memento ink. The piece was trimmed to 1/2" x 3".  Then it was set in place on the bottom part of the card using Dimensionals.

The floral piece was glued in place on the white area.

I added some small pearls to the center of the one flower and a few on the outside of the flower and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make.  I like how it turned out, even though it wasn't the same as the original card. You can make things work with limited supplies.

Artistically Inked, Thank You Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

It only took a nanosecond to know I just had to make this card. I love black and white cards and the rhinestones were a perfect touch. I found this card on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here

This was a super quick and easy card to make. I used a double-sided sticky sheet when I die cut the image so it made the card an even quicker one!

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I used the largest "Stitched Rectangle" die to cut the top layer piece. I love playing with them and I hope they are in the catalog for a long time to come.

Next I stamped the "thanks" from the "Artistically Inked" set using Versa Mark ink and white embossing powder.  I heated the powder and set it aside.

I had used the sticky sheet on my Basic White card stock and then I die cut the floral piece. I set it in place on the front of the card.  Then I set the piece on top of the card base using Dimensionals.

Five colored rhinestones were added and a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White was added to the inside and the card was done.  My rhinestones were already colored. I had some extra in my stash that I had colored a while back. Just use your Blends pens or Sharpie colored markers. As long as it's a permanent marker it will color on the glass rhinestones.  Mine look like the were dark Night of Navy and dark Highland Heather from the Blends pens.  They are dark enough to make the simple card look rich.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by today and see this super quick and easy card,

Artistically Inked, Thank You Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Once again today's card comes from the internet but with a few minor changes.  You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the bottom.

I die cut the floral image using the dies from the "Artistic Dies" set that is part of the "Artistically Inked" bundle.

After cutting I sponged it using Melon Mambo ink. I thought it could use some sparkle so I colored over the whole thing using Wink of Stella.  The Wink of Stella removed some of the ink so I thought I would add some more.  Then I thought that it took away some of the sparkle so I added more Wink of Stella.  I set it aside to dry.

While the floral piece was drying, I stamped the "thanks" from the "Artistically Inked" set using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock.  I fussy cut it out. I'm still not getting enough of that fussy cutting of the words.  I also tied a silver thread bow too so I was all ready to assemble.

The floral piece was dry and it had a lot of shimmer to it but it looked plastic. It even had a plastic feel to it. The shimmer doesn't really show up in the photo. You can click on the photo and you might be able to see it.

I set the floral piece on top of the front of the card so I could see where to color the background. I used Blushing Bride ink to color in the background behind the floral piece. I added glue to the center area of the large flower and on the upper leaves.

The words were set in place using three small Dimensionals.

The bow was glued in place and five clear rhinestones were added and the card was done.

This was a quick and easy card to make but I'm not as thrilled with how it looks now that I see mine in person. Perhaps I missed something?  I'm pretty sure I didn't use the same colors but it's an okay card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's shimmery card,

Sweet Ice Cream, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

The real problem with this year's new Stampin' Up! catalog was there were just too many great stamp sets in it. And the other problem was that I bought too many of them.  LOL  I have been having a lot of fun with the "Sweet Ice Cream" set and I thought I'd play with it again today. I actually did put it away the last time I used it (shocker, huh?  LOL).

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of  Melon Mambo card stock. I was going to use Flirty Flamingo but I grabbed the Melon Mambo by mistake and didn't even notice until I was ready to stamp the ice cream. Anyway, this card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. You can always cut it in half on the 8-1/2" side so it measures 4-1/4" x 11" and then fold it in half. Then it will open on the right and the fold will be on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the inside of the card and I taped it in place.

I die cut the second largest "Stitched Circle" die using Basic White card stock.  Cut the circle close to the corner because you will be using that 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece to stamp and punch the cone and ice cream, plus the words.

I then cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Blushing Bride card stock. I used the scalloped die that was just a bit larger than the stitched circle.  I die cut it from the center of the Blushing Bride piece of card stock. The 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock will hide the hole in the middle!  Fun to use the card stock so it's not so wasted.

So the Basic White piece is taped to the Blushing Bride piece and the Blushing Bride piece is taped to the card base.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Ice Cream Corner" 12" x 12" package. The stripes on this DSP go up and down, so I had to turn the paper side ways a bit so I could get the lines at an angle. I cut the DSP at 1-3/4" x 5-1/8" and taped it to the bottom of the Basic White piece.

The scalloped piece was cut using the die from the "Color & Contour" bundle. The dies in that bundle are wonderful. Lots of scalloped edge rectangles. I've used this scalloped die before and I LOVE it, it's very fun to play with. I taped the Melon Mambo scalloped die in place over the DSP. Make sure you don't let the edge of the DSP show where the scallops swoop up.

I taped the circles together and then set them on top of the card. I didn't tape them down yet. I needed to see where the ice cream was going to go and the words.

I stamped the cone using Cinnamon Cider ink and the lines on the cone were done using Early Espresso ink. I punched out the cone using the matching punch.

The ice creams were stamped using Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride inks. I also stamped the sprinkles using the matching colors.

The words are from the same "Sweet Ice Cream" set and were stamped using Rich Razzleberry ink.  I fussy cut them out. I thought it was so cute on yesterday's card that I had to try it again. I'm not a fan of fussy cutting but when it's something fun it doesn't seem so bad. I really like this look.

I decided to add Dimensionals to the back of the taped circles. I set them in place on the card making sure I had room for the words at the bottom.

Then I set glued the top part of the cone in place. I chose glue so I could move it around if I needed to.

Then I added the Blushing Bride ice cream using Dimensionals. And I did the same for the Melon Mambo one but I made sure I didn't get the Dimensionals on the bottom part where they would end up on top of the other ice cream.

The words were set in place with Dimensionals and some sprinkles were added using mono glue. Those sprinkles are from the "Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles" embellishments container.  They are SO fun and cute!  And the card was done.

I thought it was such a sweet, cute and easy card to make. I like it too because it's for an adult, teen or child.  Though I think it's a bit too pink for a guy card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this sweet birthday card,

Artistically Inked, Thank You Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I SO love the "Artistically Inked" set and today I found a fun card on Pinterest that I thought I would try out!  You can see the original card here.  This was a pretty easy card to make.  Here's how I made it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.  I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and I textured it using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder.  I taped that piece to the front of the card.

Next I die cut the larger flowers image from the "Artistically Inked" bundle. The dies are called "Artistic" dies.  I used Basic White card stock to cut mine. The original card used the January 2021 Sale-a-Bration 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) stack. I think. It's an ombre paper that was used and there was ombre DSP in the Sale-a-Brations catalog.  Anyway, I didn't have it handy, so I grabbed my Blends pens and colored.

I colored the flowers using light Highland Heather and then I came back in the centers with the dark Highland Heather pen.

The leaves were colored using the light Old Olive Blends pen and then I colored in some dark Old Olive. And for the areas closer to the flowers I used the dark Mossy Meadow Blends pen. And that was it for the coloring.

The words are from the "Artistically Inked" set and were stamped using Old Olive ink.  I had cut the into a rectangle shape but I didn't like it so I fussy cut around them. I have never done that before with words. I do like the look and it was pretty simple to cut out.  The words were set in place using Dimenisonals.

Some silver Metallic Pearls were added to the center of the large flower and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I thought it was fun and I really like how the words turned out. I'm not a fan of fussy cutting, but I'd do that again!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this bright thank you card,

Hand-Penned Petals, Thank You Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Once again I found a great card on Pinterest that was quick and easy to make. I loved the colors and the layout. You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. The layer is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Polished Pink card stock.

The focal piece is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White.  Before I stamped my image, I cut the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "In Colors" 6" x 6" stack.  I cut it at 1-7/8" x 3-3/4".  I did tape it in place before I stamped the flower.  I didn't think that there was a possibility that I could drop the stamp and get ink on the DSP.  If I make another one I will wait to tape the DSP down, but I will set it on top to see where I need to stamp the flower and words.

The flower and words are from the "Hand-Penned Petals" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.

The set also has the solid flower petal parts, so I stamped them using Polished Pink ink.

I didn't feel like trying to line up the leaves, so I just took my dark Mint Macaron Blends pen and colored in them. I actually just scribbled.  It didn't matter if I went outside the lines either. I don't think I did, but if I did, it didn't matter at all.  I liked coloring with the Blends pen more than I did stamping the solid parts of the flower. If I would have had the Polished Pink Blends pens I would have used them instead.

Once the coloring part was done, I taped a 5-1/2" piece of ribbon around the front to the back and I used scotch tape to hold it in place. Then I taped the piece to the Polished Pink card stock and I taped that to the card base.

A bow was tied using the same Polished Pink ribbon and it was set in place using a large glue dot.  And the card was done.

The original card added some colored dots to the front. I didn't have those dots and I thought it looked nice the way it was. A simple and clean looking card.

This was a fun card to do and I would not think twice before making more. Though I think I would set it up in my Stamparatus so I could make several more at one time.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by today and see this simple thank you card,

Butterfly Brilliance, Art Gallery, Forever Fern, Thinking of You Card

What caught my eye about today's cards was the dotted holes in it. You can see the original card here. Since there is sponging involved it would be nearly impossible to copy it exactly.  Here is how I made today's card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the top layer.  I set this aside for now.

Then I die cut the butterflies from the "Butterfly Brilliance" set. There's individual butterflies that are open and there's a full sheet of butterflies to cut out all at once time. So now I have extra white butterflies to use on something later (maybe!).  The butterflies were sponged using Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia and Soft Sea Foam inks. Then they were glued to the corresponding solid white butterfly.

I did not have the same fern dies so I took the die from the "Forever Fern" bundle and I die cut two sets of leaves using Soft Sea Foam card stock.

I set the leaves on the card and then the butterflies to see where I was going to be making the dotted holes. The "Butterfly Brilliance" bundle has the dotted dies. I have to be honest here, sometimes there's stuff in the sets that I have no idea what to so with. This dotted die was one of them.  Once I saw this card I knew I had to give it a try.  I loved the look of those dots.  Stampin' Up! should come up with a large die that makes a full set of dots on one sheet with an opening in the middle to add stuff like this layout is.  How fun would that be? I taped this piece to the front of the card.

After I die cut the dots, I glued the ferns in place.  Then I took some gold cord and wrapped it around my fingers and set it in place on top of the ferns. I did set the butterflies on top to see where the cord should go.  I set the corn in place with the larger glue dots.

Next the butterflies were set in place using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Art Gallery" set and were stamped using Soft Suede ink. There's a die cut in that bundle and I used it to cut out the words. The words were set in place using a Dimensional on each end and some snail tape in the middle.

I had some amber colored rhinestones so I added them to the bodies of the butterflies and the card was done.

After reading this, it sounded quicker to make than it did.  There was a lot of die cutting here and figuring out where the die cutting was going to be (on the dotted piece). I had die cut those dotted pieces two times on the bottom and two times on the top part. The only thing I didn't like about die cutting them was all the little dots that clung to the plate piece. They were full of static and didn't want to leave the plastic plate.

Even though my card is different, I REALLY like how it turned out. I just love how those dots just made the card more interesting.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's card,
Wanda

Hand-Penned Petals, Blossoms in Bloom, Color & Contour, Birthday Card

I just love the scalloped area of this card. It's what attracted me to it and I knew I had to make one. You can see the original card here. I did change it a little.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Soft Succulent card stock. On the left side is a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the 6" x 6" in color paper stack. I LOVE those stacks. There's SO much paper in them and lots of fun designs and colors. I do have to say that I like these new designs, they are SO much better than last years ones.

I die cut the scalloped rectangle from the "Scalloped Contours" dies in the "Color & Contour" Bundle.  I used Basic White card stock. I set the piece up in my Stamparatus and stamped the words from the "Blossoms in Bloom" set using Soft Succulent ink. I set it up in my Stamparatus because I wanted to make sure I got them straight and inked well. I did have to stamp it twice because my ink didn't cover all the letters the first time. I must not have gotten the ink pad all over the words.  I don't know. But it doesn't matter because I was able to stamp again and fix it.  LOVE that Stamparatus!!! I taped this piece to the center of the card.

I stamped the flowers from the "Hand-Penned Petals" set using black Memento ink. Then I die cut them with the matching dies from the "Penned Flowers" dies.  I stamped the flowers with the detail stamp using Pale Papaya ink. And I also stamped the smaller flower using Pale Papaya ink too. I'm not sure what colors were used on the original card. I opted to go with the Pale Papaya instead of what was on the original card.

I colored the leaves in using the dark Soft Sea Foam Blends pen.  A ribbon was tied into a bow on the stem and then I added Dimensionals to the back of the flower and set it in place on the card.

I didn't have the same embellishments, so I took some rhinestones and my dark Mossy Meadow Blends pen and colored three of them and added them to the front of the card. I also added a clear rhinestone to the center of the flower, it just looked like it needed something.

A 4" x -5-1/4" piece of Basic White was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.

I really like how the card turned out and it was SO quick and easy to make.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this quick and easy card,
Wanda

Sweet Strawberry, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I had seent this card on Pinterest and thought I would give it a try. I liked the background,it's what first caught my eye.  You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Garden Green. I taped this piece to the front of the card.

The next layer was cut at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".  I stamped the leaves and flower image from the "Sweet Strawberry" set using Garden Green ink. I just filled the piece with the image. I taped this piece on top of the Garden Green layer.

I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and I stamped the words from the same "Sweet Strawberry" set using Garden Green ink. I made sure it was stamped about 2" from the bottom of the piece so I had room to die cut it with a space for the flowers. I die cut it with the second largest Stitched Circle die (retired).

I took a scrap piece of vellum and I colored it using the light Old Olive Blends pen. While it was drying I got out my circle dies and took the largest one and die cut the vellum.

There was scrap left from the word piece so I stamped three strawberries using Poppy Parade ink. I also stamped three leaves using Granny Apple Green ink.  And I stamped three flowers using Crushed Curry ink.  I used the smallest flower so I could punch it out. There's a matching punch, the "Strawberry Builder" that has the strawberry, leaf, stem and flower.  No fussy cutting here.  Though the images are easy enough to fussy cut without too much complaining!!

Once everything was punched out, I assembled the card.  I forgot to mention, the stems were punched out using Garden Green card stock, they were not stamped.  They were glued to the tops of the strawberries.

I taped the vellum circle in place. Then I set the word circld in place using Dimensionals. I didn't press down on it because I wanted to make sure I could slip some leaves under it if needed.

The strawberries were added next and then the leaves. I did remove the stems of the leaves so I could get them under the circle a bit easier. The flwoers were added and a pearl was placed in the center of each strawberry. One of my pearls had moved off the center and I didn't notice it until after I was almost done posting it.  But it's okay, it wasn't very sticky because I had handled it too much so I just took it off the petal of the flower and glued it in place.  And the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make. I did change it a little but for the most part it's the same.  Can one have enough birthday cards on hand?

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this "sweet" birthday card,
Wanda

Artistically Inked, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

When I finished making this card the first words out of my mouth were "close"!  I found this card on Pinterest and I thought it would be fun to make one.  You can see the original card here. Here's how I made this card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the focal piece.

I took a scrap piece of Basic White card stock and added the double sided sticky paper to it so I could use it as a sticker. I just couldn't imaging gluing all of the edges on that piece.  UGH!!!  I die cut the flowers image using the die from the "Artistic Dies" set.

Next the die cut piece was colored using Blends Pens. I didn't have the Misty Monlight or the Lovely Lipstick ones, so I substituted light Night of Navy and dark Flirty Flamingo.  I also used dark Granny Apple Green, dark Old Olive, dark Highland Heather and dark Calypso Coral Blends pens.

I stamped the words from the "Artistically Inked" set using Smoky Slate ink on the 4" x 5-1/4" focal piece. Then I used the "Tasteful Textiles" embossing folder to texture the piece.

The flowers image was set in place on the focal piece and then the ribbon was added to the bottom. I cut a 6" piece of ribbon and taped the edges to the back. The ribbon went under the leaves on the original card. I may have moved my flower up too far.  It may have looked better if I had used Basic Gray ink so the words were darker and moved the flower down even more and omitted the ribbon. Dimenisonals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the card base.

I colored three rhinestones using the dark Old Olive Blends pen and set them in place on the focal piece.

This was fun to make but I don't know if I'd make another one. The coloring was okay but I don't think I'd like to do it again.  Trying to define where a flower petal started and a leaf ended was a bit challenging.  But I am happy with the way it turned out. It's very colorful and cheery. This would also make a pretty Mother's Day card, Get Well card, Thank You card and Thinking of You card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this colorful birthday card,
Wanda

Sweet Ice Cream, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

This was such a sweet card. I saw it on Pinterest and just had to make it. I didn't have some of the same items but I made it work. You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.  On top of that is a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock that was textured using the "Brick & Mortar" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card base.

I cut a 1-5/8" x 5-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Ice Cream Corner" 12" x 12" package. I used the scalloped edge from the "Scalloped Contours" dies. I lied up the bottom edge of the die to the bottom edge of the piece of DSP.  I glued the DSP to the top of the card on the textured piece.

I stamped the ice cream tops using Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, and Bermuda Bay inks. The cone was stamped using Cinnamon Cider ink and the texture on the cones was stamped using Early Espresso ink. The sprinkles on each ice cream piece was stamped with the matching colors. I punched them out using the coordinating "Ice Cream Cone Builder" punch.

The first ice cream piece was glued to the top of the cone.  Then it was set in place using Dimensionals. The next ice cream was glued to the card base by only adding glue to the top part of the ice cream. It was then repeated for the top piece of ice cream.

The words are from the same "Sweet Ice Cream" set and were stamped using Early Espresso ink. I used the retired "Rectangle Stitched" framelets on both of the word pieces. If you don't have those dies the peices measure 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" and 1/2" x 2-1/2".  The larger one was glued in place and the thinner one was set in place using Dimensionals.  And the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make and I was happy that the package of DSP had some striped designs to make the awning. It just seemed perfect for the card.

This card can be used for adults, teens and children. It's just a perfect image for all ages!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this fun birthday card,
Wanda

Sweet Ice Cream, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I have not played with the "Sweet Ice Cream" set in a while and I saw this card on Pinterest and it made the decision for me on what card to make for today! You can see the original card here. There's a few minor changes that are mostly due to not having the same products, but it's close.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut the sheet of card stock in half on the short side so this piece measured 4-1/4" x 11" before I folded it in half at 5-1/2".  This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

I cut two 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" pieces of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Ice Cream Corner" 12" x 12" package. I taped one piece to the top of the card and one piece to the bottom.

Then I cut two 1/2" x 4-1/4" pieces of Rich Razzleberry card stock for the strips that will go under the center piece of DSP.  That piece is from the same "Ice Cream Corner" package and it was cut at 3-5/8" x 4-1/4".  The Rich Razzleberry strips were taped to the DSP. I put the tape on the DSP and then added the card stock strips. That way you don't have to try not to get too much tape over the edge that will show.  This piece was taped to the front of the card. I measured a little over 1-7/8" from the top of the card. It was difficult to get it equal on the top and bottom but it's close enough that no one will notice unless they get a ruler out, and who does that to a card they receive?  Well, I guess I have but only to get measurements to make one myself, but never to be critical!

I didn't have the circle dies that were used so I got out my retired stitched circle dies and used the largest one for the Rich  Razzleberry circle and I used the 2-7/16" circle die for the Basic White piece.  But I stamped the words from the "Sweet Ice Cream" set and were stamped using Rich Razzleberry ink before I die cut the circle.  Once the words were stamped and the circle was cut, I fussy cut three ice cream cones from the DSP in the same "Ice Cream Corner" package.  I taped the left and the right one in place and I used Dimensionals for the center one.  I added Dimensionals to the back of the circle and I set the circle in place on the front of the card.

I had some ribbon that matched close enough and I made a bow and set it in place using two large glue dots. I thought the ice cream part of the cone could use something so I added some Wink of Stella and the card was done.

This was a very fun and easy card to make. I love the look of it and I can see myself making more of these.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by today to see this cute birthday card,
Wanda

Artistically Inked, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

This card (mostly) came from Pinterest. I was unable to find a link to the original card for instructions, all I have is a link to the image. Click here to see it. So, this is how I made it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Evening Evergreen card stock.

Then I cut a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Expressions in Ink" 12" x 12" package. I had a scrap piece that I was able to use.  Ya gotta love it when you can use the smaller pieces.

I die cut the flower from the "Artistic Dies" set using gold foil card stock. I did not use a sticky back sheet for it. I was thinking that I should have after I die cut it but I just glued it to the front of the card. Glue was added to the wider areas on the die cut piece, they were mostly in the center of the larger flower. It was enough to hold the piece in place.

The words are from the "Artistically Inked" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut the piece to measure 5/8" x 3".  And I cut an Evening Evergreen layer that measured 3/4" x 3-1/8".  I taped the words to the layer and added Dimensionals on the back. I set the piece in place on the front of the card. The words piece is 1-3/8" up from the bottom edge of the card.

A added 5 small white pearls to the front of the card and the card was done.

I really like this DSP, it's a card in itself!  But, like with this card, you can add just a few little items and it's now a fabulous looking card. The gold is SO rich looking.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by today and see this "fabulous looking" card,

Color & Contour, Pansy Patch, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

This pretty card came from Pinterest. You can see the original card here.  I did click on the link and there is a video on how to make this card. I did click on the link and I did follow along with the video. I did skip through some stuff to get to the how to of the card. I don't often follow videos because they take way more time than to just see all the measurements and go from there. You're stopping and replaying and then going on. When it's in print, it's all in front of you. I think that vidoes are great for more difficult cards or projects.

Here's how this card went together. The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Fresh Freesia card stock. This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

Cut a 1" strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) at 5-1/4" x 1".  This DSP is from the 2021-2022 in-color 6" x 6" stack.  You could make 6 cards from just one sheet!  I made one!  Though I might take out some retired DSP and give this layout a try, it's a great way to use up some of that paper in my stash.

Next I the Basic White piece was cut at 3-3/4" x 5-1/4" and the scalloped edge die was used to make the cute edging along the bottom of this piece. I lined it up so it was just above the edge of the card stock. I probably had about 1/8" of white showing. I used some post it note tape to hold it in place and then I die cut it. I set this piece aside for now.

The center panel piece was cut at 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" and was stamped using the flower from the "Color & Contour" set with black Memento ink. Christy (the designer of this card) did show how she set her stamps on her blocks so she would know how to quickly line up the solid piece. What I did was I took both stamps and found were they lined up. I then took a black Sharpie and made a dot on each stamp so I knew that would be the "top" of my stamp.  Now I never had to guess where it will line up and if I turn my first stamp, it will be easier to know where to stamp with the second one.  I just like it when I can make things easier for myself.  And just lining them up on your block without any marks works well to but you have to do it every time you use the set. Making a single dot you only have to line them up once!  Okay, back to the stamping. Once the outline part was stamped then the petal image was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink.

The dotted images are from the same "Color & Contour" set and were stamped using Gray Granite. They were stamped over the flowers too. You don't need to be careful stamping them.

The center of the flowers were colored in using the dark So Saffron Blends pen.

This piece was then taped to a 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Fresh Freesia card stock. This piece was then taped to the scalloped edge Basic White piece. You need to leave a 5/8" space at the top for the ribbon and for some white to show.

The "Open Weave" Fresh Freesia ribbon is cut at 7" long and attached on the backside using glue dots. I also used a little bit of scotch tape to hold it.  Then a 5" piece of ribbon was cut and slipped under the taped piece and a knot was tied. The ends were trimmed.  This piece was then taped in place on the front of the card base.

The words are from the "Pansy Patch" set using Fresh Freesia ink.  On the original card the words from the "Color & Contour" set were used. It read "You're Absolutely Amazing" but I didn't want to use that because I wasn't sure what category I would be storing it in.  It must be some type of congratulations, perhaps a "general" congratulations???  I don't know, so I went with the birthday wording.

Once the words were stamped, I die cut them with the cute dotted die from the smallest rectangle in the "Scalloped Contours" dies.  I did order the bundle.  There's even a die to cut out that flower image too!! I love the 5 rectangles in this set.  Anyway, once the words were die cut, I set them in place using Dimensionals.  In the video it's suggested you add the gems first before the Dimensionals. I add them whenever.  I often add the Dimensionals and then notice that the card could use something more. I add enough Dimensionals to the back of the piece so it's stable enough to press on something else later.

I didn't have the gems that were used on the original card so I took some rhinestones and I colored them using the dark Highland Heather Blends pen.  It was just enough purple to blend with the Fresh Freesia and no one will know they are two different colors.  Well, unless you tell them. I'm not telling.  LOL

This was a very fun card to make and I REALLY do love the look of that finely dotted large scallop. It adds a lot ot the card. And I can see myself making more using this layout. It would also make a very nice Thinking of You card, Get Well card or Mother's Day card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see this sweet birthday card,
Wanda

Color & Contour, Sweet Ice Cream, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I still had my "Color & Contour" stamp set sitting out (imagine that! LOL) and I thought I would find another sample using it. And here's what I found. You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black was cut for the layer and a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White was cut for the images.

Using my Stamparatus, I tried to center the middle flower as much as I could by eying it. I also added the words at the same time. I lined them up as evenly as possible too and then I stamped them using black Memento ink.

Then I stamped the left flower and then the right flower, both using black Memento ink.

The solid parts of the flowers were stamped using Flirty Flamingo, Pale Papaya, and Fresh Freesia ink.

The stamped image piece was taped to the Basic Black layer and then that was taped to the card base.

Rhinestones were added to the center of each flower and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. Since I had it set up in my Stamparatus, I made a few extra.  Why not, it's all set up to go, so go for it!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this quick birthday card,

Color & Contour, Get Well Card, Thinking of You Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I found this pretty card on Pinterest. It looks more difficult than it was to make. You can see the original card here. I clicked on the photo but it didn't take me to the link to the card for any directions, so here is how I made it. I don't know what it is about this card that caught my eye. Maybe it's that all the colors were so pleasing that it drew me in. I'm not sure but I'm glad it did!

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I had a 2-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Blushing Bride card stock to use for the strip. I set it aside for now.

The scalloped edge rectangle is from the "Scalloped Contours" dies. It's the largest one in the set. And it was die cut on a quarter sheet of Basic White card stock. I set the piece on top of the Crumb Cake card base to see where to set the Blushing Bride piece. My piece was a tight fit. I needed it to cover the inside of the scallops. I ended up adding a little bit of snail tape to the back of the scalloped piece so I could get the piece to fill in the scallop centers. I worked with the scalloped piece and the Blushing Bride piece together because I needed the scalloped piece to be centered on the card and I needed the Blushing Bride piece to not only cover the scalloped edge pieces but to be even on top and bottom.  I did have the opportunity to trim my piece to 4-1/4" and I should have waited until I was done attaching it and then trim it. It would have saved me a lot of time!

Once I got the Blushing Bride piece on and the scalloped rectangle in place, I cut the layers for the inside of that scalloped rectangle.  I took a piece of Pale Papaya and cut it 4-5/8" x 3-5/16" and I cut the focal piece (Basic White) at 4-1/2" x 3-3/16".

I stamped the flowers from the "Color & Contour" set using Crumb Cake for the center one. Blushing Bride for the left one and Pale Papaya for the right one. I also used the solid stamp to stamp the inside of the flowers with their matching colors.

The words were added next. They are actually separate but I added them on my Stamparatus so I could ink and stamp them both at the same time. They were stamped using Crumb Cake ink. Once the stamping was done I taped the Basic White piece to the Pale Papaya piece. I'm not sure if this is a get well card or a thinking of you card.

A linen thread was tied wrapped around the piece and tied in a bow on the front. I did have a bit of an issue with my knot. It tied very tightly but the thread around the card stock was too loose. SO instead of redoing it, I just took some scotch tape and taped it to the back so it appears to be nice and tight. Well, it is nice and tight but it's not straight across tight in the back. It's kind of a mess but it's taped down so only you know what the back of my card looks like! Don't tell anyone! LOL I added Dimensionals to the back of this layered piece. I also made sure the Dimensionals went across the linen thread to hold it down more too. That thread isn't going anywhere!

I added three half pearls to the center of each flower and a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White to the inside of the card and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I am REALLY liking this set so far!  I bought it because I realy liked the long stem with the three flowers on it. I'll be making a card with it sometime soon.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to see this sweet card,

Color & Contour, Butterfly Brilliance, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

As you can see, I didn't put away my Melon Mambo ink. I should have. After yesterday's card I realized that it's teh color that brought the card down. And same for today.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.

I cut a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Basic White and I set it on my scoring board. I scored the piece 1/2" down on the shorter side to the 2-1/2" mark. I  turned it a quarter turn and scored 1/2" down to the 3-3/4" mark. I turned it again and repeated the score lines until I had gone all the way around the piece. When I cut my card stock, I can feel what is the front and what is the back by the edge of the piece. It seems the front curves down ever so slightly. When I turn it over I can see the back looks and feels different than the front.  Not that most people notice this, but I do.  I did turn my piece over before I scored because I wanted the raised part to be on the front.

Next I stamped the butterfly from the "Butterfly Brilliance" set using Melon Mambo ink. And then I stamped the flower from the "Color & Contour" set using Melon Mambo ink. They were die cut and then I set them on top of the scored piece to see where I was going to stamp the words. I stamped them using Melon Mambo ink. I should have used Old Olive or black Mememto ink.

Once the words were stamped, I set the scored piece in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals. Then I set the butterfly and flower in place using Dimensionals. I didn't press the flower down because I needed to add some greenery. I used the "Symetrical Border" punch and Old Olive card stock for the cute little leaves. I added some snail tape to the back and slid them under the flower.

A pearl was added to the center of the flower and the card was done. I think the flower could use some color as well as the butterfly.  And the birthday greeting should be a darker color.

So after looking at the card on the screen here I often get a different prespective of it. I ended up adding some Wink of Stella to the butterfly. It picked up the Melon Mambo color and smeared it around the butterfly and the butterfly had some color. Then I did it around the center of the flower. It didn't pick up as much color but it did pick up some. It does look much better than the plain stamped image.  And I like the card much better. So then I took yesterday's card and added some Wink of Stella to the center of the flowers and out about 1/4" to 1/2" from the center and I like it SO much better too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this interesting card today.  Tomorrow I will have a better one. I promise!
