Sweet Baby, Itty Bitty Greetings, Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper, 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Today I'm going to share with you another card I made using the "Animal Expedition" Decorative Series Paper (DSP).

This is a very quick and simple card to make.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Soft Sea Foam. This card opens on the right.

The Basic Black layer is cut 4" x 5-1/4".  I didn't plan very well or I would have cut the scalloped oval from the center of that black layer. No one will ever know.  But I wasn't sure what color I was going to use for my scallop and by the time I figured out the color, I had already cut it.  I usually say next, "live and learn" but I don't learn!!! LOL  And the top piece is from the "Twinkle Twinkle" DSP. I cut that piece 3-3/4" x 5".

I fussy cut the kangaroo from the "Animal Expedition". I fussy cut it because I didn't buy the bundle with the stamps and dies.  I couldn't justify it because it will only be available for one year, like the "Special Delivery" set was.  Now there a lesson was learned!!!  When I saw the DSP I thought I would just get that and make some cards and fussy cut the images.  SO that is what I did today.

I had die cut the largest scalloped oval using Basic Black card stock.  The Whisper White was die cut from the largest stitched oval die.  I taped those two pieces together. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on the card. I then added the kangaroo using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" and I stamped them using black Memento ink.  I punched them out using the "Classic Label" punch. I set them in place with small Dimensionals.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside and stamped some words from the "Sweet Baby" set.  And that was it.  I thought it was a fun card and I didn't mind fussy cutting this kangaroo, there wasn't a lot of thin or tight turns on it!! It was pretty simple cutting.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
