Love What You Do, Itty Bitty Greetings, Share What You Love DSP, 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Catalog

This card is SO pretty. I LOVE these colors together. I found this card on Pinterest. It was pretty simple to make and it does have several pieces to it.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Mint Macaron. The contrasting color is Tranquil Tide.  I think that is a beautiful color and I have played with it a lot. The "Decorative Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Share What You Love". I cut that piece 1-5/8" x 5-1/8".  The Tranquil Tide Stitched Squares are die cut using the second smallest square. I cut three of them. I set them in place on the left side of the card.

I stamped the flowers from the "Love What You Do" set. They were stamped using Versa Mark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I colored the flowers in using the two Bermuda Bay Blends markers. I had colored the flowers in when I originally thought the stitched squares were Bermuda Bay. I had to do some removal on the card after realizing the color was wrong.  But I didn't want to redo the flowers and I thought they color of them blended in just fine.  I took the light Soft Sea Foam Blends and just scribbled over the entire image.  I did color over the colored images. When you do this, you want to make sure the ink is dry or it will smear.  I set that stitched oval in place using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set. I die cut them with the smallest oval die. I sponged the edges with Mint Macaron ink. I set the words in place using Dimensionals. I added a 4" x %-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside of the card and it was done.

This was a fun card to make (once I figured out the colors) and I think I would still use the Bermuda Bay for the coloring of the flowers.  The other option is to use the Tranquil Tide marker or ink pad and a blender pen. I much prefer the Blends pens.  They are easy to work with and color so evenly with no lines. Oh and if you color in one spot more than a couple of times, the area will get a little darker but it won't make the paper pill.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
