Stylized Birthday, Birthday Memories, Birthday Card

I have had a lot of fun with the "Stylized Birthday" stamp. It's in a box all by itself!  What I like most about it is the size.  It takes up a lot of space, which allows you to use those little images.

For my card I used a folded half sheet of the new Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.  I hope to use this more, I'm not fond of the color and I'm hoping it will grow on me. I  used it here because it matched the dots in the DSP.  The Decorative Series Paper (DSP) used here is from the "Birthday Memories" 12" x 12" pack.  I cut it 5" x 1-7/8" and the Pumpkin Pie layer behind it was cut 5-1/8" x 2".  I taped the layers in place on the front left.  Then I stamped the words using the "Stylized Birthday" image and Basic Black ink.  I trimmed the piece to 2-1/2" x 2-3/4".  The Pumpkin Pie layer behind it measures 2-3/8" x 2-7/8".  I taped the layers together and then taped that on top of the dotted DSP piece.

Next I punched out a balloon from the DSP and added a few Dimensionals behind it.  I left the bottom open so I could add the Baker's Twine and then the Dimensional on top to hold it in place.  I took my scissors (closed) and curled the twine like you would curling ribbon. But be sure your scissors are closed. Oh and you really only have one shot at it, if you try to curl it again it probably own't work.  I have on occasion been able to redo it but most of them time it won't work again.  Then I end up wetting the twine and wrapping it around a toothpick and letting it dry.

And for the final element on the front, I cut one of the gifts from the DSP and set it in place with Dimensionals.  So, there you have it.  A very fun and quick card to make.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
