Happy Birthday Thinlits, Rubberband Technique Card

Today I am going to share with you a fun and easy technique.  Plus a fun fold too.

The base of this card is a 1/4-sheet of Lemon Lime Twist.  This is a color I need to learn to like, I'm not a limy color fan so I think it will have to grow on me.

There is a layer of Basic Black cardstock that measures 3/1/4" x 4-1/2"  The Whisper White piece is cut 3-1/4" x 8-1/2" and folded in half.

Next we took second largest clear block and stamped Lemon Lime Twist ink on it.  On this block were many twisted rubber bands wrapped around it.  They did not cross over on each other, they were all next to the block. If you overlap them you will only be able to stamp the highest part.  So you ink up and stamp the bands on the cardstock, inking and moving the block at different angles.  Each time I stamped I had fresh ink, there was no stamping off stamping.

We tied a black ribbon around the front by the fold and then added the "Happy Birthday".  The words were die cut with the sticky sheet behind the cardstock so when we were ready, we just removed the backing and stuck the words to the front.  This was a very fun technique to play with. I think I may do this technique for the next technique night swap!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
