A Hang Your Stocking Tic Tac Toe Game

I was digging in one of my many drawers of junk and found this fun Tic Tac Toe wooden game.  I had gotten it a while back at Oriental Trading and much to my surprise, they still carry it.  It's item # 27/1075.

To make this, I cut pieces of Whisper White card stock to cover the wooden pieces already on the board. I needed to cover up the old X's and O's. I sponged the edges with Real Red before I glued them in place with Aleen's Tacky Glue.

I used the snowflakes from one of the die cut stockings and I used the tree die cut to make the images for the game.  I sponged the trees Garden Green and a little Soft Suede on the trunks.  It's light on the Dazzling Diamonds card stock.  I scrubbed the color in with a sponge and it ended up being light because it rubbed off on my paper towel. Once it was done rubbing off it ended up light. Which is okay, you can still tell a tree from a snowflake!

For the snowflakes, I sponged them with Pacific Point and this light blue is what I got.  These colors are a little more vivid in person.

This now a fun little game with a Christmas theme!

This is one of the items that I displayed at my demo table at Terri's extravaganza.  All the demos there were items from the new 2016 Occasions catalog.  It was a fun time and lots of fun things to see.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
