September 2016 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card

I LOVED this month's Paper Pumpkin kit.  It contained 16 test tubes to decorate for Halloween.  How fun was that?  There were pieces left over but I didn't use them in this card. I copied this card from an email I received from Stampin' Up! regarding the Paper Pumpkin.  I thought it was such a cute card that I had to copy it.  I made my card a full size card.  The one in the email was a square card.  I like square cards but you have to mail them in a regular card envelope or you pay more.  So I just stick to the regular size stuff.  And I think it turned out cute with the full size.

I used Peekaboo Peach card stock for the base of my card.  I stamped the pumpkins in that color too.  I used Pumpkin Pie ink for the highlight (low light) under the pumpkins.  I didn't know what that stamp shape was for until today!  I thought it looked like dripping blood but I wasn't sure how I would work it onto one of the images.  Well, now I know!!! LOL  The stem was stamped using Old Olive ink and the face was stamped using black Memento ink.

The Washi tape is from the "Pop of Pink" spools.  There is a 1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock under the Washi tape and black baker's twine was tied in a bow and set in place with a glue dot.

The pumpkins were fussy cut.  The one on the lower right is set in place with Dimensionals, the other two were just taped in place.

The background layer is Smoky Slate and the words were stamped using Smoky Slate ink.  The words on the white piece on the top left corner were stamped using black Memento ink.

It was such a fun card to make, even the fussy cutting wasn't so bad!!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
