Project Life Holiday Cheer Christmas or Winter Card

I started out calling this a Christmas card and after looking at it, it could be either a Christmas card or just a winter card.  It would make a great winter birthday card as well.  Too bad the fun "Holiday Cheer" set doesn't have birthday greetings in it.  But it's ok, there's lots of other winter and Christmas greetings in it to make many many different cards!!!

I chose this set because of the size of the images.  I LOVE smaller images in sets, it allows you to highlight that little image in a big way using the circle punches as frames.

I assembled this card much like I did the one I made yesterday except I am working with 3 circles instead of one and I did not use any Dimensionals.  I am REALLY liking this card and I think I could get enough pieces of the decorative paper to make it our Christmas card this year.  The only thing I would need to change is the bow.  I don't want to pay the extra postage to mail the cards.  It gets expensive enough as it is.

I used a fun bow technique I found at Stampinantics.  You just tie the ribbon around something.  I used my mister bottle. Tie it in a tight knot.  Then slide the bottle off.  Find the center of that loop the bottle created.  Cut that loop in the middle and trim it up.  Take the long ends and wrap them around the back side and tape them in place.  I use both double sided tape and clear one sided tape to do that.  I suppose you could glue it too but that would take a little while to dry.

I stamped my images and then cut them to fit in the circles I created.  I also taped them to the back of the front panel.  No one will see your tape or the pieces of card stock, it will all be hidden behind the folded half sheet of Soft Sky.  I just LOVE how Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon go together so well.  The decorative paper is from the new "All is Calm" paper pack.  It's SO pretty!

I had a great time making this card.  It was fun and wintry!  Not that I'm longing for winter, I just like these colors and they remind me of winter!!!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
