Brushed With Beauty, Peaceful Pier, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. It was all of those different sized strips that caught my eye and I just had to give that a try. You can see the original card by clicking here. There were no instructions so I had to wing it and that's why mine looks a little different than the original.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I started out cutting my strips. I had watched the video and the placement of her card stock. She was measuring in centimeters (UGH) so I flipped my ruler over and began! The whole piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Brushed With Beauty" 12" x 12" package measures 7-1/2cm x 10 cm.  The pieces are cut at 1cm, 1-1/2cm, 2cm, 2-1/2cm, and 3cm.  That's the worst part of the card because I did the rest in inches!  I'm sure you've survived the metric episode! I did!!! LOL

A 4-3/4" x 3-1/3" piece of Basic White card stock was cut for the layer the strips will be taped to. The video showed the strips being taped from largest at the top to smallest at the bottom. I didn't pay attention so mine is the opposite but it really doesn't matter, either one looks good.

I taped the top piece in place and to keep my spaces spaces even, I took a round toothpick and butted it up to the strip and I butted the next one up to the other side of the toothpick. I held the toothpick in place as I did this so it stayed straight and was firmly set on the edge of the prior strip.  I did not press down on the strips until I was done setting them all in place, just in case they were a little off on one end. I did have to adjust my last two strips on one side and I was able to do that easily.

Once the strips were in place I stamped the words from the "Peaceful Pier" using black Memento ink.

The piece was then taped to a 5" x 3-3/8" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. Dimenisonals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

It's pretty simple once you have all the measurements. And now you do!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,

The Right Words, Lovely & Beautiful, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy card to share with you that uses a substantial amount of Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I found this card on Pinterest and made a couple of changes. You can see the original card by clicking here. There as no link to the original card posted on Pinterest. Please read on to see how I made the card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the card base.

Next I cut a piece of gold foil card stock. It measures 3" x 4-1/4".  I taped another piece of the DSP from the same package on top. It measured 2-3/4" x 4".  Before taping I cut a few pieces out of the center. Those leaves are from the "Delicate Whispers" bundle. (My sister gave me the bundle on Wednesday when we met for pedis. So sweet of her and she knew I had wanted that bundle!) I snipped the ends a bit so they would fit under my word piece.

After cutting the gold greenery, I taped the DSP to the gold layer. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was centered on the front of the card.

The words are from "The Right Words" set and were stamped using Versa Mark ink and then embossed with gold embossing powder. I cut them out using the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I also cut a gold one using the same die. I cut the gold piece in half. I added tape to the ends of the word piece and then stuck the gold pieces in place. Dimensionals were added to the back but I didn't remove the backing yet.

I set the gold greenery where I thought it would look the best. I added a little tape to the end of the stems. Then I removed the backing from the Dimensionals on the word piece and I set it in place about 2-3/8" from the bottom edge of the card base.

I had some leaf pieces left over so I trimmed them up, added a little bit of glue to the stem and tucked them in place with the other gold greenery.  And that was it, the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. I love that DSP, it's SO pretty and holds it's own. The giant flowers are not busy at all, they have a soothing look to them. This would be a great card for several other occasions too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Brushed With Beauty, Layers of Beauty, Petals of Beauty, Anniversary Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have an Anniversary card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Brushed With Beauty" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card.

The flower was stamped next. It's from the Petals of Beauty bundle. I stamped it using the background stamp first with Petal Pink ink stamped off once and then the detailed stamp was used with full Petal Pink ink. Then it was cut out using the matching die in the bundle. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside.

The words are from the "Layers of Beauty" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink on a 1-1/2" x 4" piece of Basic White card stock. I stamped them to the right so the flower had room to lay across the area.

A 4" x 1-3/4" piece of gold foil card stock was cut for the layer. I taped the word piece to the gold piece and taped it to the front of the card about 1-1/2" up from the bottom edge of the card base.

The eaves are from the "Petals of Beauty" bundle and were cut out using gold foil card stock. I snipped off the first three leaves and then the next three. On the second leaves, I did have to trim the edge a bit to hid where I snipped it. I added tape to the ends and set them in place on the front of the card. I did lay the flower on top to see where the leaves needed to go.

The flower was added next. I had some retired enamel dots and added a yellow one to the center of the flower and a Mossy Meadow colored one to the word piece. I had colored it using my Mossy Meadow Blends pen. And that was it, the card was done.

This was a fun card to make because I was able to use some busy DSP that I often struggle with. Lately I've been challenging myself to use the busier pieces of DSP so I don't purposely ignore them when I see them in the package! So far so good!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's anniversary card,

With You In Mind, Brushed With Beauty, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you using a layout at a friend's blog. You can see her creation by clicking here. Mine is a little different but I was inspired by Lynette's card. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the largest layer.

The panel pieces are made using Calypso Coral card stock for the base and "Brushed With Beauty" Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the 12" x 12" package. I cut the top piece of card stock to measure 3-3/4" x 2-1/8" and I cut the bottom piece to measure 3-3/4" x 1-1/8". The DSP was cut at 3-12" x 1-7/8" for the top piece and 3-1/2" x 7/8" for the bottom piece.  I taped the layers together. Dimensionals were added to the back.

I set the DSP layered pieces on my Basic White layer to see where the wording would go.  The "Happy Birthday" is from the "With You In Mind" set with black Memento ink.

Once the words were stamped I set the panels in place.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the Basic White layer and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I added some enamel dots that I had in my stash. I don't know what package they came from, the were just in a little zip baggie.  But they were close enough to the right color so I used them.  And that was it, the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make and I think it would be great for DSP that is a bit "busy".

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Cutest Crew, Simply Said, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun and easy card to share with you. I found this card on Pinterest and I just had to give it a try with the materials I have. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

The first thing I did after getting the base of my card ready, I took a quarter sheet of Basic White card stock and colored it with ink. Using water, ink and a paint brush I made a wash over the entire piece. I used Balmy Blue inker, then Misty Moonlight inker and then Night of Navy inker. I set this aside to dry.

I cut a 5" x -3-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock that I splattered Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue ink on it from my Blends Pens. I just removed the cover off the pen and then tapped it hard against another pen (don't use another Blends pen to do that). The pen splattered ink all over the piece. I set it aside.

The birds from the "Cutest Crew" bundle were stamped using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out with the matching die. The center bird was colored using Misty Moonlight light and dark Blends pen. The other two birds were colored with the light and dark Balmy Blue Blends pen. The grass was colored using the dark Soft Sea Foam Blends pen and the beaks were colored using the light Soft Sea Foam Blends pen.

I die cut the little butterflies at the same time as I cut the birds out. I colored them with my Wink of Stella pen and set them aside.

My washed paper was not quite dry so I used my embossing heat tool to help it dry faster.  I cut the third largest circle die from the "Stylish Shapes" set.  I took a chalk pen I had and splattered on some white dots. I thought it could use something more.

The circle was taped to the splattered Basic White piece about 1/4" from the right side and the bottom edge. Then I taped the birds in place. I taped them over the circle just to the point to where you can't see the circle between the 2nd and 3rd bird.

I stamped the "hello" from the "Simply Said" set and cut them out with the second smallest circle in the "Stylish Shapes" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the large splattered piece and it was set in place on the front of the card base.

The butterflies were adde using a little dot of glue and the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make. I LOVE this set, it's so fun to play with because these characters are the cutest!

Thank you SO very much for stopping by to see today's friendship card,

Gears & Texture, Banner Sayings, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a masculine birthday card I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Basic Beige card stock for the largest layer. I taped that to the card base.

Then I cut a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White and on top of that is a 3-3/8" x 4-5/8" piece of Basic Beige. I textured it using the "Forever Plaid" embossing folder. I glued it to the Basic White piece.

Next I cut the gears for the focal layer from the "Gears & Textures" bundle using Basic White card stock. I cut some extra circles that look like top of Phillips head screws for my accent pieces. I wanted this card to be easily mailable.

After cutting the gears and textures I glued them in place on the front of the card. I stated with the long ladder looking piece. It's about 3/4" up from the bottom edge of the focal layer. I had to lift it up a bit because the open circle needed to slipped through the ladder piece. And before pressing that piece down I glued the largest gear a little behind it.

There is some grate looking piece that was glued on next. The smaller gear was added to the left using Dimensionals. I added the smallest gear to the center of the largest gear. I glued the Phillips head screw pieces in place on the card.

The words are from the "Banner Sayings" bundle and were stamped using Basic Beige ink on Basic Beige card stock. I cut them out using one of the dies in the bundle. I set the words in place using Dimensionals.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the focal layer and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I liked playing with those gear pieces. I also like monochromatic cards. It's one of those "more is less" type things.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,
Wanda

Impressions Abloom, Lovely & Beautiful, Lovely Arrangements, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another card using the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP).  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Petal Pink card stock for the largest layer. On top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of DSP from the "Lovely & Beautiful" package. I taped it to the Petal Pink piece.

The Basic White card stock was cut at 2-1/2" x 3-3/4". It was sitting on my worktable so I thought I would use it. It was textured using the "Damask Designs" embossing folder.  I inked up my dauber with Petal Pink ink and lightly brushed it across the texture. I taped this piece to a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of Calypso Coral card stock. Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and it was set in the center of the card.

The flowers were stamped next. They are from the "Impressions Abloom" bundle using Petal Pink ink for the solid part and Calypso Coral for the details. I cut them out with the matching dies. I stamped the leaves in the same way using Granny Apple Green ink. I glued the smaller flower down first and then glued a leaf to the back of it. Dimensionals were added to the back of the large flower and it was set in place on the front of the card. I glued two leaves to the back of the large flower.

The words are from the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle and were stamped using Calypso Coral ink and cut with a die from the bundle. Dimensionals were set on the back, mostly in the middle and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I added three brass butterflies to the front and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. I love how bright and cheery it looks.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Lovely & Beautiful, Simply Said, Birthday Cards, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy card to share with you. I have two sheets of this Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package that I have hardly used. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Petal Pink card stock for the solid layer. On top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of the DSP from the "Lovely & Beautiful" package. I taped that to the Petal Pink piece and then that was taped to the card base.

I cut a 1" x 3-3/4" piece of Granny Apple Green card stock and textured it using the "Stone & Vine" embossing folder. I glued the piece to the front of the card about 1" from the bottom edge of the card base. I set it under my stamping mat to dry flat.

Using some gold foil card stock I had, I die cut the leafy image from the "Delicate Whispers" bundle. I set it aside.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Calypso Coral ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the "Labeled with Love" die. Dimensionals were added to the back.

I added the gold foiled leaves using glue dots that I rolled up so they'd fit on the widest leaves.

The word piece is set in place. I thought I'd add a little daisy embellishment, so I glued it in place and the card was done.

This was a quick and easy card to make. Plus I was able to use a bigger piece of DSP.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Delicate Whispers, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a get well card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. I clicked on the "Visit site" icon and the page that popped up said the link was expired.  So this is how I made the card using what materials I have.  I used the "Delicate Whispers" bundle which I had just gotten yesterday from my sister. We met up for pedies and she gave me the bundle. I couldn't wait to play with it. Please read on to see how I put this card together. There's lots of steps to it. I did look up the stampers name and found a video but it wasn't for this exact card but I took what I wanted from it to make my card.

First I cut a sheet of Basic White card stock in half and then folded that in half for my card base. It opens on the right and the fold is on the bottom.  I cut a 4"x 5-1/4" piece of Pretty in Pink card stock for the largest layer.  Using the 4th and 5th largest die in the "Everyday Arches" set I cut from the center of the Pretty in Pink layer to get my arched frame.

I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock and using the 5th die again, I cut the arch for stamping on. This piece will fit into the Pretty in Pink frame piece.  What I forgot to do was to tap on some Pretty in Pink splatters on the white arched piece.  Oops, it was hard to see, plus there could be a little bit of Gray Granite splatters too, it's hard to tell. But it's not hard to tell on my card because neither are on there!

On the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock I textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. Then I took a sponge dauber and lightly brushed on some Pretty in Pink ink.

I stamped the arched flowers on the Basic White arched piece using Gray Granite. I colored in the greenery using my Crumb Cake Blends. And Petty in Pink for the flowers that were stamped from that image.

One of the things I did take from that video was to take some Pretty in Pink ink and wet a brush and brush it across a scrap piece of white card stock to die cut the flowers later. This piece was set aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the card.

There is an arched leaf die in the bundle that I cut out of Gray Granite card stock. I rolled up glue dots and set them on the widest places, it was mostly one on each end and a couple in the middle.

I cut the flowers using the dies in the same "Delicate Whispers" bundle. I used my scrap piece that was dry by now. I cut two sets of flowers. So I had a total 8 pieces. I stacked up the large ones in my hand and curled up the edges by pressing them with my fingers. I did the same with the smaller ones. Using glue dots I affixed 3 sets together and left two flowers as is. I set them in place on the front of the card, covering the stamped flowers I colored. I added little pearls to the center of the flowers.

Using scraps from the Pretty in Pink card stock I cut the smallest arched die. Then I stamped it using the image from the "Delicate Whispers" bundle and Versa Mark ink. I sprinkled on some white embossing powder and heat set it. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside.

I taped the large Pretty in Pink layer in place. Then the embossed piece on top of that. The white arched piece fit in place and then the frame was glued in place.

I removed the backing from the word piece and set that in place. I added a little brass butterfly to the little piece.

I tied a bow from some retired ribbon in my stash. I set it in place with a glue dot and the card was done.

This card had a lot of stuff going on, lots of things to do to make it but it was SO worth it. I do like how it turned out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,
Wanda

Cutest Crew, Cute as a Bug, Brushed with Beauty, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a friendship card to share with you.  I LOVE play dated with friends and especially when it's a stamping play date. You get to play with stuff you don't have but wanted.  I loved this set and thought I'd stamp a cut a few images to take home with me to play with later.  The bundle is called "Cutest Crew".  I stamped and cut a row of cats first because I am such a cat lover. Then I fussy cut one of the cats off the row.  Then I stamped some dogs and then the birds.  I will have some cards in the future to share with you once I use the images. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Brushed with Beauty" 12" x 12" package was cut and taped to the card base.

On top of that is a piece of Basic White card stock that was cut at 3-1/2" x 4-5/8".  I taped that to the DSP on the card base.

Then I cut the top layers. The Mossy Meadow card stock was cut at 3" x 4-1/8" and I cut the DSP from the "Cute as a Bug" 12" x 12" package.  I added a little bit of tape where I thought the opening would be, I taped the two pieces together in just that spot. I made sure the edges were all lined up.  Using my 1-1/4" circle punch I dropped the piece all the way down inside the punch. I eyed both sides of the punch to see that the papers looked equal and I punched the circle. Then I took the punched piece of DSP and placed a piece of copier paper behind it and using my 1-3/8" circle punch I punched a ring. I taped the DSP to the Mossy Meadow piece, Dimensionals were added to the back around the circle and the piece was set aside.

I took a scrap piece of Basic White, about 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" and I scrubbed on some Mossy Meadow ink, very lightly using a blending brush.  I removed the backing on the Dimensionals around the circle and set the piece in place. Dimensionals were added to the back of the entire piece, except for the 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" white piece, I added tape there and I set the piece in place on top of the Basic White layer.

The kitty was colored using both light and dark Pumpkin Pie blends. I chose an orange color because I have an orange cat and I thought this color would pop on the greens I chose for the layers. Dimensionals were added to the back of the kitty and it was set in place in the center of the circle.

The words are from the same set and were stamped using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the "Labeled with Love" die. Using my dark Mossy Meadow Blends pen, I colored the edges of the word piece. I used the belly of the pen to color the edges. I did it slowly so the ink would bleed onto the card stock a bit. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

A little brass butterfly was added to the word piece and the card was done.

I have always loved this layout. Though I'm not too fond of the large layer of DSP. I think I could have done better with that. But it is what it is and all in all it's okay.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda

Peaceful Pier, Brushed With Beauty, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thinking of you card to share. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.

I used a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Petal Pink card stock for the back layer.

A 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock was cut for the front.

Using the 3rd and 4th stitched square dies in the "Stylish Shapes" set I cut the larger one from the center of the Petal Pink large layer piece. And I used the smaller one to cut the floral image from the "Brushed With Beauty" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP). I taped these two pieces together.

I laid the floral layered piece on top of the Basic White layer to see where I wanted the words would go.

The words are from the "Peaceful Pier" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. Then I textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. I taped the embossed piece to the Petal Pink piece and then that was taped to the front of the card.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the square piece and it was set in place on the front of the card. I was able to follow the lines of the embossing because I actually embossed them perfectly straight. The square layered piece is about 1/2" from the fold and the top of the card.  And that was it.

This card was super quick and easy to make. It's great for those small scrap pieces of DSP that I just can't seem to let go of. You never know when you need them!

I think this layout would be great for a sympathy card or a note card. Depending what you put in the middle, be it DSP or a die cut image, you can use this for a number of other occasions!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda

Fragrant Layers, Note Card, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a note card to share with you that I had found on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here.  Once there you can click to "visit site" and learn more about this card from the original designer.  Please read on to see how I put this card together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer and now the fun begins.

Using the rectangle floral die from the "Fragrant Layers" bundle, I cut the image from the center of the top layer piece.

Using the outline floral die, I cut them from a piece of Peach Pie card stock. I'm running low on that color but it's okay, it's going to be retiring very soon. I love it when I get my in-colors down to a minimum before they retire. It's easier to do if you just buy the variety pack and see what colors you are going to be using a lot and then just order those packages.

Okay, back to the card. The leaves were cut next. There's three sets of leaf dies in the bundle and you need all three for the backs of the three sets of leaves. I cut them using Garden Green card stock.

I carefully added glue to the back of the white outlined piece and set the Peach Pie piece on top. I did the same for the leaves.

The words were added next and they are from the same "Fragrant Layers" bundle. They were stamped using black Memento ink.

I turned the piece over and added a LOT of Dimensionals. I added pieces of Dimensionals to the flower petal lines. I needed that center to feel pretty solid. I didn't want it sinking down in the middle.  Mission accomplished. I set the piece in place on the front of the card base and the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make. The gluing took the longest because I wanted to be very careful not to get it so it oozed out towards the front. I have a love/hate relationship with the Tombow liquid multi glue. I love that I can move my piece for a few seconds after adding it because it doesn't adhere immediately. I love it that it doesn't warp my card stock. But I hate it when I get it on my fingers. It doesn't like to come off very easy.  I keep baby wipes by me when I'm working with that glue!

I LOVE how this card turned out. Now you know why I wanted to make it so badly!  It's just TOO pretty!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's note card,
Wanda

Petals of Beauty, Lovely Arrangements, Simply Said, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White to layer the images on.

I started with the Crumb Cake textured piece. I used the "Lovely Stripes" embossing folder. I cut the piece to measure 2". I saved the other 2" for a future card. It's always nice to run across parts to quickly throw a card together. And sometimes it allows me to have extra time to work on a more elaborate card. I glued this piece to the left side of my white layering piece.

The die from the "Lovely Arrangements" was used on a piece of Basic White card stock to cut the eyelets. I taped that to the white card layer.

I used the flowers from the "Petals of Beauty" bundle instead of the ones from the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle. I stamped the solid part on Basic white card stock using Petal Pink ink. Then I used the detailed stamp with Calypso Coral ink. In the center I colored it with my dark Lemon Lolly Blends pen.

The greenery is from the "Petals of Beauty" bundle and were cut using Mossy Meadow card stock.

I added the greenery first and then I taped down the smaller flower. The larger one was set in place using Dimensionals. I added a retired "White Perfect" accents to the center of each flower.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I set them in place using Dimensionals.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and it was set in place on the card base.

This was a fun card to make, it was pretty quick and very easy.

Brushed with Beauty, Petals of Beauty, Simply Said, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another masculine birthday card to share with you.  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Pecan Pie card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut two pieces of Very Vanilla card stock at 4" x 5-1/4".  I taped one on the inside and the other I textured using the "Stone & Vine" embossing folder. I glued that to the front of the card.  I placed it under my stamping mat to keep it flat while the glue set up.

In the meantime I cut the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Brushed with Beauty" 12" x 12" package.  I cut the green one at 1-3/4" x 4-1/2".  And I cut the word one using 1-3/4" x 3-1/2". I glued the green one down first and it's about 1/2" from the fold, the top edge and the bottom edge.  I also glued the other piece in place. It's about 3/4" from the edge of the green piece and about 1/2" from the top and bottom edges of the green piece. I place it back under my mat to set up.

I cut the leaves from the "Petals of Beauty" bundle using Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla card stock. I added tape to the bottom leaves and set them in place about 2" from the right edge of the card base and 1-5/8" from the right edge of the card base.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Early Espresso ink on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I cut them out using the third largest die in the "Nested Essentials" die set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1-1/4" from the bottom edge of the card base and 3/8" from the right edge of the card base.  And the card was done.

This was another quick and easy masculine card to make. I figured out you can't go wrong with leaves on a masculine card!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,

Simply Said, Brushed with Beauty, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a masculine birthday card to share with you. I find it difficult to make masculine cards because there's not a lot of stamps out there to foot the bill. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock and textured it using the "Stone & Vine" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card base and I set it under my stamping mat to set up and to help it lay flat while it set up.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) I used here is from the 12" x 12" "Brushed with Beauty" package. I cut it at 2-1/8" x 4-1/4".  I taped that to a 2-1/4" x 4-3/4" piece of Early Espresso card stock and then that was taped to a 2-3/4" x 4-7/8" piece of Pecan Pie card stock. This was glued to the front of the card base about 5/16" from the fold, top, and bottom of the card edges.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Early Espresso ink on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I cut them out using the third largest rectangle die from the "Nested Essentials" die set.  I added Dimensionals to the back and I set the piece aside.

The leaves were cut from the "Petals of Beauty" bundle using Mossy Meadow card stock. I added tape the bottom two leaves. I set it in place measuring about 1-5/8" from the fold and 1-5/8" from the bottom edge of the card from the bottom stem of the leaf piece.

After setting the leaves in place I set the word piece in place about 1" from the bottom edge of the card and 1/2" from the right side and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. And I'm hoping that leaves are okay for a masculine card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,

Greenery Lane, Lovely Arrangements, Banner Sayings, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thank you card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

I had some fun working with layers. The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Stone & Vine" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card and I set it under my stamping mat to keep it flat while the glue set.

Next I made the strips. I took a quarter sheet of Basic White card stock and taped some "Greenery Lane" washi tape to it.  Then I cut my strips. They measure 1-3/16" x 3-5/8".  You will want to keep them in order so when they go on the front of the card they will just look separated but you will still see all the parts. That probably doesn't make sense the way I worded it but trust me, you want to keep the pieces in order.

I cut a 3-7/8" x 4" piece of Garden Green card stock and I taped those strips to it. I started with the left strip and then added the right strip. I save the center strip for last because it will help keep the spacing looking even. Then I glued this piece to the front of the card allowing equal spacing between the top, bottom and left edges.

The greenery piece is from the "Greenery Lane" bundle and were cut out using one of the leaf dies on Garden Green card stock.

I stamped the words next. They are from the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out with the die from the "Banner Sayings" bundle. I cut a 1" strip of Garden Green card stock (the piece left over from cutting the layer for the strips) and I taped the word piece to it. Then I trimmed the edges with my scissors.

I added a little tape to the stem area of the greenery piece and set the word piece in place over the top of it using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a quick and simple card to make. I'm still on the fence of whether or not I like it. I think it could use something more.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda

Brushed with Beauty, Petals of Beauty, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I liked the layout but didn't want a card that opened with the square piece so I modified it to suit the look I wanted. You can see the original card by clicking here. There was no clicking through to see where the card came from or for any other directions, so I guessed at the measurements. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. Most of my cards start out with the white card stock because I find it easier to do it that way and add the colored layers and avoid adding a white piece on the inside for writing on. When I'm done decorating the front of my card, I'm usually done with the inside too!

I took a piece of Petal Pink and before taping it to the front of the card I used the largest square die in the "Stylish Shapes" set and cut the piece from the middle. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Basic White strip will hide the opening that was made and no one is the wiser. Plus it's being a bit frugal. Read on there's more frugality to come! I taped this piece to the front of the card.

Next I cut my DSP from the "Brushed with Beauty" 12" x 12" package. It measures 3-1/4" x 3-3/4" and I cut a Basic White piece 2" x 3-3/4". I took the Basic White piece and textured it using the "Stone & Vine" embossing folder. I glued it in place on the right side of the card. Then I taped the piece of DSP in place. It overlaps the Basic White piece a little. I did that on purpose because I wasn't sure where I was going with these pieces. You can trim either a bit to fit better but it's not going to show.

Using the second largest square die in the "Stylish Shapes" set I cut one of Basic White. Before taping it to the Petal Pink square, I stamped the flower from the "Petals of Beauty" bundle using Petal Pink ink. I cut it out using the matching die. Make sure you center your flower or it could show.  After taping the squares together I added Dimensionals to the back. I set it in place on the front of the card. I lined up the tips of the squares with the seams of the DSP and embossed piece. If you don't have the square dies you can cut your pieces at 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" for the colored piece and 2-3/8" x 2-3/8" for the white piece.

The greenery is from the "Petals of Beauty" bundle and were cut using Mossy Meadow ink. I cut the tip of the top leaf. Tape was added to each petal and the piece was set in place on the squares.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the flower and the flower was set in place on over the top half leaf. I had some (retired) "White Perfect Accents" embellishments and I set them in place on the front of the card.

I didn't add any wording because I'm not sure what I want the card to say yet. It's not speaking to me yet.

This was a fun card to make and I really do like this layout. I cut the pieces out of scrap copier paper and taped them to a folded half-sheet of scrap copier paper so I could have template/sketch to follow in the future. I also write the date on the front of when it was posted on my blog so I can go back and look to see what I did and what changes I might want to make.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's card,
Wanda

Cute as a Bug, Sweet Bugs, Fragrant Layers, Friendship Cards, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a friendship card to share with you using the layout I played with yesterday but today I turned it on it's side, sort of. LOL. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Poppy Parade card stock. In the center of that piece of card stock I cut a circle using the second largest die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. After cutting the circle, I taped the piece to the front of the card base.

A 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Cute as a Bug" 12" x 12" package and I taped it to a 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock. Then I taped that to the front of the card on the left.

On the right the Basic White strip was cut at 1" x 3-3/4". It's textured using the "Damask Designs" embossing folder. There was a piece of textured card stock in my stash and I just trimmed it to fit my card. I glued this piece to the right side.

The cute bee is from the same package of DSP and I cut it out using the third largest die in the "Stylish Shapes" set.  Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

The words are from the "Fragrant Layers" bundle and were stamped using Poppy Parade ink. I cut them out using the second smallest die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I die cut a little flower from the same package of DSP. Actually I had to cut it out, it was a piece that was just sitting there from when I cut other pieces off the sheet. I just couldn't toss out the flower. The die is from the "Sweet Bugs" bundle.  I used a small Dimensional on the back of the flower and I set it on the upper part of the circle.

I added a ladybug from the "Ladybug Garden" epoxy shapes package.  And that was it.

This is a super quick and easy card to make. Not a lot of stamping and a great use of DSP!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Fragrant Layers, Lovely & Beautiful,Fabulous Sayings, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a friendship card to share with you. I found a card on Pinterest but I didn't want to use the same layout (sort of), their card has the front cut off about an inch but I wanted to keep the front solid. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Peach Pie card stock for the front large layer. Before taping it to the front of the card I cut the 3rd largest circle from the "Stylish Shapes" die set. I made sure I had it off to the left enough so it wouldn't show once the card was put together. I also cut the flower from the "Fragrant Layers" bundle.  I set it just below the circle I was cutting. Then I taped the Peach Pie piece to the front of the card base.

Next I cut a 5" x 2-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the layer behind the Designer Series Paper (DSP).

The DSP is from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the Basic White layer. This was then taped to the front of the card, towards the left. I needed to make sure I had room for the Basic White strip.

A 3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White was cut and then textured using the "Stone & Vine" embossing folder. I glued that to the right side of the card. You are really going to need glue for this texture. It's so bumpy that there's not a lot of flat spots for tape to stick without smashing down the texture.

The words were stamped next. They are from the "Fabulous Sayings" set and were stamped using Calypso Coral ink. I cut them out using the 4th circle in the "Stylish Shapes" die set. I taped them to the Peach Pie circle. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

Using the outline flower die from the "Fragrant Layers" bundle I cut one out of Basic White card stock and I colored it using my dark Cajun Craze Blends pen. I glued it in place and then I taped the flower in place on the circle.

The leaves are from the same bundle and were cut using Old Olive card stock. I put tape on the bottom petals (I did cut the stems off) and tucked them under the flower.

I added a brass butterfly and the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. I do like this layout. I can see myself using up a lot of DSP with layout!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Lovely Arrangements, Lovely Blooms, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you that I found on Pinterest.  You can see the original card by clicking here.  I thought it was a fun card to try. I did change the orientation of the circle piece. I bought this set because I really liked both the flowery looking die and the circles die. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I die cut the flowery looking piece and the circle pieces using Basic White card stock. I glued them in place. I just set them where I thought they looked the best.

Next I stamped the leaves using Granny Apple Green ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the matching die in the . I cut three sets. The tanish leaves were cut out using another die in the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle. That is from the "Lovely Blossoms" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP). I cut three sets of those leaves.

The flowers were stamped using Secret Sea ink and were cut using the matching dies from the same bundle. I had also stamped the words and cut them at the same time.

I took a piece of Cloud Cover card stock that measured 5/8" x 4" and I textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder.  I trimmed it to 3-1/2" after cutting the angles.  I used card stock because I didn't have any of the ribbon used on the original card.  I glued this piece about 1-38" x about 1/16" from the right side edge. I think it would have looked better if I would have made it a bit longer.

Next I added the flowers and greens. I added glue to the center part of the half-flower and set it in place on the front of the card. Dimensionals were added to the large flower and it was lightly set on top of the card.

Using glue I slipped the leaves in place. I added my glue close to the stem.

I tied a bow using some linen thread and it was added with a little dot of glue.

The words were glued in place and that to care of the flowers and greenery. A few pearls were added to the front and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I'm glad I got to play with the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle again.  I can see myself making more cards like this.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Lovely & Beautiful, Greenery Lane, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I changed a few things on it though. It was fun to actually use the speciality side of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) than the other side, which I had used a lot! You can see the original card by clicking here.  Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4' x 5-1/4' piece of DSP from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" page. It measure 4" x 5-1/4".  I taped it to the card base.  On the other side of the green is a busy piece with gold foil. I was glad to use the green, I liked it better.

The floral image is from the same package of DSP and was cut at 3" x 4-1/4".  This is a very pretty sheet and I hadn't touched either one (you get 2 in a package). I was too busy using the other sides for other cards. I love the huge flower and the soft colors.  I taped this to a piece of gold foil card stock (I didn't have any brushed gold). This piece of gold measures 3-1/8" x 4-3/8".  Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card using equal spacing all around.

The words were done on my computer. I just like how it looked and thought I'd print it out and die cut them. The die is from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I also cut a gold foil piece. On the gold piece, I cut it in half and then taped the word piece to each half, leaving a little exposed on each end. A sweet touch.

The leaves are from the "Greenery Lane" bundle and were cut using the gold foil card stock. I added a little dot of glue on all of the solid leaves and set it in place on the front of the card.

I set the word piece in place using Dimensionals. And for a final touch I added a brass butterfly to the upper corner of the DPS.

This was a fun card to make. It was quick and easy too. I love the colors and it was fun to play with the foil card stock (I have a ton of that left too!)

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Impressions Abloom, Love Notes, The Right Words, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thinking of you card to share. I found it on Pinterest and thought I'd give this layout a try.  You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut 1/2" off the front right side. I cut a 3/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Love Notes" 6" x 6" package. It was fun to use more pieces from that package since it's main theme is Valentine's Day. I taped that strip to the inside of the card on the right edge. It shows when the card is closed. When the card is closed it looks like the strip was taped to the front but it's really on the inside.

Next I cut three strips of the same color of DSP that measure 5/8" x 2-1/4" each.  I taped them to the front of the card. Starting with the bottom strip, it's about 1-3/8" up from the bottom and 1-1/8" from the fold. There is a 1/8" space between the strips. The second strip is about 5/8" from the fold and the top is the same as the bottom, 1-1/8" from the fold.

Once the strips were taped in place I stamped the words. They are from "The Right Words" set and were stamped using Highland Heather ink.

The flowers, stem and leaves were cut next. Using Basic White card stock I used the dies from the "Impressions Abloom" bundle.

I added glue to the double stem and set it in place on the front of the card. The smaller flower was taped in place and the larger flower was added using Dimensionals.  I taped the leaves on either side of the double stems.

The tiny little flowers were taped in place and the card was done. I was going to add little pearls to the little flowers but I didn't want to pay extra postage to mail it. It looks fine without them but it would look prettier with them. I may add some Wink of Stella to the little flowers to give them the bling they are begging for.

This was such a fun, quick, and easy card to make. You can use up some of your scraps when making a card like this.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda

Wooly Friends, Simply Said, Lovely & Beautiful, Children's Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you that I think would make a good card for a child but an adult may like it too, though I'm leaning towards child. I found it on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a piece of Highland Heather to measure 4" x 5-1/4" for the largest layer. On top of that is a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package. It's cut at 3-1/5" x 4-7/8" and then cut along the diagonal. I taped the pieces to the Highland Heather piece.

The focal layers were cut as follows: the Highland Heather piece measures 2-7/8" x 4". The Crushed Curry piece measures 22-3/4" x 3-7/8" and the Basic White piece measures 2-5/8" x 3-3/4".

I stamped the lamb from the "Wooly Friends" using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I also stamped the bow tie, head and flowers at the same time. I fussy cut the body and the flowers. I used my light Smoky Slate Blends pen to highlight the areas around the sheep's body and head. I laid the body on the Basic White piece to see where the grass would go. I colored the grass area on the Basic White piece using Old Olive ink and a blender brush. The sky was added with a blender brush using Balmy Blue.

I stamped the grass using Old Olive ink. Then I put the body back on the piece to see where the butterfly would go. I stamped the butterfly using black Memento ink.

I used the detail stamps for the flowers and leaves. I stamped the flowers using Crushed Curry ink and Old Olive for the petals.  I was going to tape the fussy cut flowers in place but I didn't like how you could see the white between the flowers on the original card so I covered the flowers with my fingers and scrubbed on some Old Olive. I thought that would do the trick but then the grass in the background disappeared so once again I took out the grass stamp, I set the flowers were they were going to go and I used my MISTY and lined up the flowers and grass and stamp. I stamped the grass over the flower stems and I liked what I saw, it blended better. I taped the flowers on top of the grass. I'm glad I did color that area in, I REALLY like how it looks, it blends and is not distracting.

I colored the butterfly using my light Highland Heather Blends pen. I taped the Basic White piece to the Crushed Curry layered piece and that was set in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the sheep's body and it was set in place on the front of the card. I laid the head on top to see where the bow should go. I taped the bow in place. I put my head on a spring circle (I had my hubby print out for me on his 3D printer, he had made me some before but they were too big for this size head so he printed me some smaller ones. PERFECT!!). I used a glue dot to hold the piece to the head and I glued the back of the springy thing to it. Now the head wiggles when flicked. TOO cute!

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I set them in place using Dimensionals. And that was it, the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and adding the wiggly thing gives the card a bit more fun.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Brushed with Beauty, Simply Said, Petals of Beauty, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you using a simple layout. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of VeryVanilla card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. On top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Brushed with Beauty" 12" x 12" package. I taped the two pieces together and then taped that to the front of the card base.

Next I cut the floral image. It's another piece from the same package of DSP. It measures 2" x 3" and the Mossy Meadow behind it measures 2-1/4" x 3-1/4". I taped the two layers together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place and set aside.

The Mossy Meadow leaves were cut from Mossy Meadow card stock using a die from the "Petals of Beauty" bundle. I removed the backing from the Dimensionals and stuck the leaf piece to it. I added some tape to the top four leaves and I set the piece in place on the front of the card about 1/2" from the top, bottom, and left side.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock using Mossy Meadow ink. I fussy cut around them. Then I glued them to a scrap piece of Mossy Meadow card stock and then I fussy cut around that. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. I just think the flowers on that DSP are SO pretty.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Petals of Beauty, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. I found this pretty card on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a try. You can see the original card by clicking here. There was no link to find any information on how the card was made so I had to wing it.  Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card i a folded half-sheet of Basic Beige card stock.  It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and one of Basic Beige. I taped the white one inside the card and I began work on the beige one.

I cut a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Bushed with Beauty" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the right side of the piece. I also cut a 1/4" x 5-1/4" strip of Calypso Coral card stock and glued it to the edge of the DSP.

Then I ran the piece through my embossing machine using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card base.

I stamped the flowers from the "Petals of Beauty" bundle using Calypso Coral on the large one and Petal Pink on the smaller one. I stamped off once for the petals and then I used full ink on the outline of the petals.  I cut them out using the matching dies.

I cut the leaves from the same bundle. I used Old Olive on the tall open one and Mossy Meadow on the wider leafed piece.

A little bit of tape was added to the area where the flowers would go and I set the greenery in place. The flowers were added using Dimensionals.

The words were done on my computer. They were sitting on my worktable from a previous project and I didn't want them to get ruined so I thought I'd add it to this card and not have to think about it anymore. They were set in place with Dimensionals. But before I added them I tied a triple bow using linen thread. I added a dot of glue to hold it in place and then the words went on top.  And the card was done.

I just thought this was such a pretty card and I'm happy it turned out the way it did!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Wooly Friends, Lovely & Beautiful, Impressions Abloom, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

As you can see it's another card using the sheep from the "Woolly Friends" set. And you guessed it, I did not put it away yesterday so it was right there in front of me when I came back to my worktable. Well, I had to use it! And here's what I came up with.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package.  I taped it to the front of the card.

The two strips of DSP are from the same package and they measure 1-4-3/4" and 2" x 5".  I taped the shorter one down first. It's about 3/8" from the fold and the other piece is about 3/4" from the fold.

The oval is from the "Impressions Abloom" bundle and was cut from a piece of Basic White card stock. I used a blending brush to color the grass in Old Olive ink and the sky in Balmy Blue ink.

I stamped the grass next from the "Woolly Friends" set using Old Olive ink. I also stamped the flowers in Old Olive too. There's a stamp for the flower centers and I stamped them using Fresh Freesia ink. The leaves on the flowers were stamped using Old Olive ink.

I stamped the bee and colored it's wings using Balmy Blue ink.

Then I stamped the sheep parts, the head, body and bow tie.

I used my light Smoky Slate Blends pen for the sheep's legs and wool. I added light Bubble Bath for the ears and nose. The bows were colored in using light Fresh Freesia and the other was colored in using Light Daffodil Delight

The words are from the same "Woolly Friends" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the sheep. I set them in place on the front of the card. Then I added the heads and bows.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the oval and it was set in place on the front of the card about 3/16" from the bottom of the card and equal spacing on the sides.  And the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I REALLY like the words from this set. It's too bad there wasn't a sunshine image in the set.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Woolly Friends, Simply Said, Children's Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a cute lamb card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. I changed it just a little. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I often use white for my cards because I have a ton of it and when I bought it, it was cheaper than the colored card stock. Plus I don't have to cut a piece of white for the inside.

On top of the card base is a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Fresh Freesia card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock. I taped the two pieces togehter.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) that is used on the front is from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package. The left strip was cut at 1-7/8" x 4-3/4". The two smaller pieces were cut at 1-7/8" x 2-7/16". They were taped to the front of the card.

Next I cut the arched piece. It's from the "Everyday Arches". I used the 6th one in that set. Then I stamped the images on the arched piece. I stamped the butterfly using black Memento ink and the flowers and grass were stamped using Old Olive ink. I stamped the grass about 1" up from the bottom edge of the arched piece and I went from there with the rest of the grass and flowers.  The images are from the "Woolly Friends" set. The flowers have a stamp to color them all in at one time and same with the leaves. I stamped the flowers using Fresh Freesia ink and Old Olive on the leaves.

Using my blending brush, I scrubbed on some Old Olive on the bottom and Balmy Blue on the sky. I did brush over the flowers and grass with my colors.

The lamb is from the same set and was punched out using the matching punch. I colored the legs and highlighted the wool using my light Smoky Slate Blends pen. The bow was colored in using my dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen. And the ears and nose were colored in using my light Bubble Bath Blends pen.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Versa Mark ink on a piece of Fresh Freesia card stock. I sprinkled white embossing powder on them and heat set it. I cut them out using the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1/4" up from the bottom of the arched piece.

I added Dimensionals to the back of the lamb's body and set it in place just a hair above the word piece. I taped the face and bow in place.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the arched piece and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make and I think it makes a great card for children. Plus it would be a sweet Easter card too!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Days Like This, With You in Mind, Softest Spring, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super quick and easy birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock for the largest layer.

The layer with the butterflies is from the "Days Like This" memories & more card pack. I ran across it today in by pile of 6" x 6" stacks. I thought I'd play with that pack. I trimmed it to 3-3/4" x 5".

The words are from the "With You in Mind" set. I stamped them using black memento ink. I taped it to the Flirty Flamingo card stock. Then I taped that to the front of the card base.

The pink puffy butterfly is from the "Softest Spring" mix & match puffy stickers. I pressed it in place and that was it, the card was done. I told you it was quick.

There's a few more pieces of this printed image and I'm going to put a few more cards together to use them up. It was a fun and quick card to make!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
