The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Brushed With Beauty" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card.
The flower was stamped next. It's from the Petals of Beauty bundle. I stamped it using the background stamp first with Petal Pink ink stamped off once and then the detailed stamp was used with full Petal Pink ink. Then it was cut out using the matching die in the bundle. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside.
The words are from the "Layers of Beauty" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink on a 1-1/2" x 4" piece of Basic White card stock. I stamped them to the right so the flower had room to lay across the area.
A 4" x 1-3/4" piece of gold foil card stock was cut for the layer. I taped the word piece to the gold piece and taped it to the front of the card about 1-1/2" up from the bottom edge of the card base.
The eaves are from the "Petals of Beauty" bundle and were cut out using gold foil card stock. I snipped off the first three leaves and then the next three. On the second leaves, I did have to trim the edge a bit to hid where I snipped it. I added tape to the ends and set them in place on the front of the card. I did lay the flower on top to see where the leaves needed to go.
The flower was added next. I had some retired enamel dots and added a yellow one to the center of the flower and a Mossy Meadow colored one to the word piece. I had colored it using my Mossy Meadow Blends pen. And that was it, the card was done.
This was a fun card to make because I was able to use some busy DSP that I often struggle with. Lately I've been challenging myself to use the busier pieces of DSP so I don't purposely ignore them when I see them in the package! So far so good!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's anniversary card,
Wanda
