Good Times Mix & Match Ephemera, The Right Words, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun card to share with you that uses stickers. Yup, stickers. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock that was textured using the "Damask Designs" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card.

Next I punched out the stickers from the sheets in the "Good Times Mix & Match" ephemera pack.  I punched out all 5 flowers on one sheet, the vase with flowers, the leaves, the ladybug and the layer behind the word piece.

The words are from "The Right Words" set and were stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock using Misty Moonlight ink. I cut the piece to 2-1/4" x 5/8". I trimmed the sticker strip to 2-1/2" to accommodate the word piece. I also cut a piece of scrap copier paper to put on the back of the strip. I planned to add Dimensionals to the back and it couldn't be sticky all over. I was concerned that it might stick to the textured layer in the middle. So I played it safe and added the copier paper.

To assemble the front I lightly set the vase in place and then I slipped the leaf piece behind it. The flowers were added on sporadically. The word piece was set in place using Dimensionals and then the ladybug was added. I did put a Dimensional on the back of it too. It will create a bit of bulk in the envelope but it was just the perfect place for it and it really needed to be popped up.

This was such a simple and quick card to make.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
