Sweet Strawberry, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

I just love this "Sweet Strawberry" set. It's got a matching punch so it makes for a super quick card. Just stamp, punch, and put together. You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Soft Succulent card stock. The card stock was cut in half on the short side so it measured 4-1/4" x 11" after cutting. It was folded in half and the fold is on the top and it opens on the bottom.

I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Pansy Petals" 12" x 12" package measuring 4-1/4" x 3-1/2".  I taped it to the front of the card, centering it as much as I could.

I cut two Basic White strips of card stock that measure 3/16" wide by 4-1/4" long. I glued them in place because I didn't think I could get the tape on that narrow strip nicely. I left a hair between the DSP and the strips.

I die cut the largest circle from the "Layering Circles" dies. Then I stamped the words from the "Sweet Strawberry" set using Evening Evergreen ink. I taped the circle in place on the front of the card.

I stamped the strawberries using Cherry Cobbler for the outline image and Poppy Parade for the solid part. The stem and leaves were stamped using Evening Evergreen for the outline image and Soft Succulent for the solid part. I punched the pieces out.

Next I taped the two strawberries together. I did glue the strawberry top in place. Then I taped the leaves together and taped them behind the strawberries. Dimensionals were added to the back and I set them in place on the front of the card.

A piece of white Baker's Twine was tied around the top of the card.

I added a few "Genial Gems" to the Basic White circle.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's "sweet" birthday card,
Wanda
