Sailing Home, Here's a Card, Masculine Sympathy Card

I had to switch gears today from making Christmas cards to making a sympathy card.  It's a tough time of the year for this but really, any time of the year is. I needed a masculine sympathy card and here is what I came up with.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) that matched this "Sailing Home" set retired last year so I used the new "World of Good" DSP and made it work.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

The DSP was cut 4" x 5-1/4" and taped to the front of the card base.

The sail boat is from the "Sailing Home" set and was stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock using Night of Navy ink and die cut with the matching die.

I cut a 2-1/2" x 3" piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the words from the "Here's a Card" set using Night of Navy in.  I did set the sail boat on top of the piece to see where the words would go.

A 2-3/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Night of Navy card stock was cut for the layer behind the Whisper White piece.  I taped the layers together and then taped them to the front of the card.

I set the sail boat in place using Dimensionals.  A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock was added to the inside and the card was done.

This was a very easy card to make and I do like how it turned out. A great masculine card. It would also make a nice birthday or Father's Day card too.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today and have a look,                                                  Wanda
