Halloween Card, September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternative Card

This is the last Halloween card I will be posting using the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit. I may post a Halloween card on Halloween but I am thinking I will be doing something else. But you have been warned!!! LOL I found this card on Pinterest and I had all the stuff to make it look as close to the original card as possible. You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Mossy Meadow card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Plaid Tidings" 6" x 6" paper stack.

I die cut a 7/8" wide stitched rectangle from the "Rectangle Stitched Framelits" pack.  I cut it in half so it would give the appearance of reaching all the way across the DSP.

I die cut the Whisper White piece from the same "Rectangle Stitched Framelits" pack and the Basic Black piece behind it was also die cut. The Pumpkin Pie layer was cut on my paper cutter and it measures 2-3/8" x 3-3/4".

I cut the scalloped end off one of the party favors from the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit and I taped it to the back edge of the Pumpkin Pie piece.

On a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock I stamped the pumpkin and the hat from the kit. I colored them in using Blends pens.  And then I fussy cut them out.  I traced the bottom of the pumpkin onto the stitched Whisper White piece. I lightly traced it so I could see where I needed to stamp the leaves.

The leaves were stamped using Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry,  and Pumpkin Pie ink. Once the leaves were stamped on, I stamped the words from the kit using black Memento ink.

The pumpkin was taped in place and then the hat was set in place using Dimensionals.

I added soem rhinestones to the hat. Now I don't know why there's a green rhinestone over the "h" in hello. I did carefully and successfully remove it. You really have to keep your eyes on those things!!! LOL

The Basic Black piece was taped to the Pumpkin Pie piece and then that piece was set on top of the card using Dimensionals.  The Whisper White piece was set on top of the Basic Black piece using Dimensionals.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and the card was done.

This card is so pretty. I love how the plaid makes the pumpkin colors just pop.

Thank you SO very much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
