Celebration Tidings, Halloween Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

Can you tell my order had arrived?  Yesterday I made a card from the new "Banner Year" set and today I'm using the new "Celebration Tidings".  I am also using a layout from the other day. You can see that card here if you missed it.

I like using this layout and if you make a template using copier paper, you will have no problems with it.  I don't trust myself to get it right, so I make the template.  Plus you might need to adjust the template, making a new one because of the piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) you have to work with needs to fit in the top area.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. I cut my on the 8-1/2" side at 4-1/4".  I scored the piece at 5-1/2".  This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.  The edges were sponged using Cajun Craze ink.

I took my template and I cut the Basic Black card stock.  Then I took the DSP from the new "Magic in the Night" 12" x 12" pack.  I had made a separate template for the DSP, I needed it 1/4" smaller. I taped the DSP to the Basic Black piece and then I taped that to the top of the card base.

I stamped the spider from the new "Celebration Tidings" set.  I stamped it on Very Vanilla card stock using black Memento ink. I punched it out using my 1-1/4" circle punch.  I also punched a 1-3/8" circle using Cajun Craze card stock.  The Very Vanilla piece was sponged using Cajun Craze ink and then taped to the Cajun Craze circle. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it aside.

The words are from the new "Celebration Tidings" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink.

The spider was set in place and the card was done. I think the Very Vanilla space could use some dark sequins or pearls.  It needs something.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I SO love this layout.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
