Banner Year, Plaid Tidings, Fall Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Mango Melody card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

My Whisper White piece as cut 3-1/2" x 4-5/8".

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the new "Plaid Tidings" 6" x 6" stack.  I cut my DSP 2-7/8" x 4".

I cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock 3" x 4-1/8".

I lined up the DSP on top of the Pumpkin Pie piece. I added a tiny little dot of snail tape in the area where the circle is to be punched out.  You only need a tiny amount to hold the DSP in place while you punch.  I used a 1-1/4" circle punch.  I slid the two pieces (all lined up) into the punch, all the way to the back. I centered the sides and then I punched the circle.

I took the DSP and put a piece of copier paper behind it and punched a ring around the circle using the 2-3/8" circle punch.  I tossed the ring in recycling.

I taped the DSP to the card stock, being sure to line up the circles and the edges.

I tied a black ribbon around the two pieces.  I cut my ribbon about 3-3/4" long and I taped the ends to the back.  Then I slipped more ribbon (still on the spool) under the taped ribbon and tied a knot. My ribbon is retired. I think it's been long retied but I still have a little bit left.  It's from WAY back when the spools had 25 yards on them. WOW, that was a lot of ribbon.

I stamped the pumpkin from the "Banner Year" set using Pumpkin Pie ink on a piece of Whisper White card stock that measured 2" x 2". The leaf and stem images are on one stamp so I used a marker to color the leaf Mossy Meadow and the stem Early Espresso. I huffed on it and then stamped it on top of the pumpkin.

Dimensionals were placed around the back side of the circle on the card stock. Then the Pumpkin image was set in place.

Dimensionals were added to the rest of the exposed Pumpkin Pie card stock and snail tape on the 2" x 2" Whisper White square.  I set this on top of a 3-1/2" x 4-5/8" piece of Whisper White.

I taped the entire piece to the front of the card using snail tape.

The words are from the "Banner Year" set. I stamped them using Mossy Meadow ink.  My Whisper White strip measured 2-3/8" x 3/4".  I set it in place using Dimensionals.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was added to the inside of the card and the card was finished.

This was a very fun card and this is always my go to layout when it comes to using small images. That tiny image becomes the focal point of the card.  Cute little pumpkin, huh?  I chose the "Banner Year" set because it covers several holidays/occasions including fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day and there's even a dove that could be uses for a wedding card too. I may have to give that one a try too.  This set has lots of possibilities. I plan on using it a lot!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
