Painted Poppies, Music From the Heart, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

Today I wanted to find a quick card using the new "Painted Poppies" set.  This is what I found. You can see the original card here.  I changed the color but only by accident.  I saw Real Red instead of Poppy Parade.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Really Red card stock.  This card was cut in half on the 8-1/2" side.  I scored it at the 5-1/2" mark. This card is folded at the top and opens at the bottom.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock for the layer.

Then I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Real Red card stock that I textured using the "Eyelet Lace" embossing folder. I taped it to the Basic Black piece.

I stamped the poppy image from the "Painted Poppies" set using black memento ink on Whisper White card stock.

I die cut the flower out using the die that came in the "Painted Poppies" bundle.

After coloring the image with the light Old Olive Blends pen and both light and dark Real Red Blends pen, I set it in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

I stamped the words from the "Music From the Heart" set using Versa Mark on Basic Black card stock.  I heat embossed them with white embossing powder.  This piece was cut at 3/4" x 3".  I snipped the ends to give it a ribbon look.  I set it in place using snail on the left side and a Dimensional on the right.

I added two crystal rhinestones on the front and a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White on the inside and the card was done.

I was amazed at how quickly this card went together.  I may try another one using Poppy Parade this time!  LOL

Thank you SO much for spending some time here,
Wanda
