Honey Bee, Thinking of You Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Mini Catalog

Here's a card I wanted to make. I LOVE bees and with the storms we've had last year I read that 1/3rd of the bee population was wiped out.  So this year I am planting bee attracting flowers. The bees we have need all the help they can get. So I will be having lavender growing in my yard this spring.  It's a win win. The bees love it just as much as I do! I found this card here and I did change the words.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Daffodil Delight card stock.  On top of it is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White.

I stamped the words from the "Honey Bee" bundle.  I used black Memento ink to stamp them.  Then I textured the piece using the "Subtle" embossing folder. I taped it on top of the card base.

I cut a 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of the "Golden Honey" Designer Series Paper (DSP) and I taped it to a 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight card stock.  I then taped those two pieces to the front of the card, centering it as much as possible.

I stamped the bee hive from the "Honey Bee" set using Daffodil Delight ink.  I die cut it with the matching "Detailed Bee" dies.  I taped it in place on the layered panels piece.

I stamped the bee from the "Honey Bee" set using black Memento ink. I die cut it out as well and I taped it to the honeycomb.

I added some gold metallic pearls to the front of the card and I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and it was done.

This was a very quick card to make. And SO darn cute.  I want to make more but I have only just begun with the DSP and this set, so I think I may have to pace myself.  I probably should go back to Sale-a-Bration sets because they will be retiring at the end of March whereas this set will be active from January - June 2020 as stated on the front cover of the mini catalog.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
