Bonanza Buddies, 2020 Spring Catalog, Children's Birthday Card

I would have to say that the "Bonanza Buddies" is one of my most favorite children's stamp sets. I'm hoping it makes it into the 2020-2021 catalog.  I always say things like that and even if they do, I'm busy playing with my newer sets. But I REALLY do like this set.  A LOT!!!

I found this card on Pinterest.  You can see the original card here.  I made a few little changes.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Bermuda Bay card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

I took a 1-3/4" piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the 12' x 12" "Birthday Bonanza" pack.  After assembling the card I think the piece should have been cut 1-1/2".  I laid the strip over the Whisper White piece and taped it in place.  I trimmed the edges.

I cut another piece of DSP from the "Birthday Bonanza" pack at 1/2".  I taped it in place and then I trimmed the edges.

I die cut the lion from yet another piece of DSP.  I die cut his main and tail from the DSP.  I glued the end of the tail to the lion's tail. It was too tiny to tape and I could have taped it but I didn't think it would hold.  While the glue was drying, I fussy cut the head and the hat.  There was a part of a lion left on the DSP from die cutting the lion out.

I taped the lion pieces together.

Next I stamped the words from the "Bonanza Buddies" using Bermuda Bay ink.

I punched a piece of Coastal Cabana using the "Starburst" punch.  And I die cut the second smallest circle in the "Stitched Circles" pack.  I taped those two circles together and I set them in place on the Whisper White piece using snail tape.

I set the lion in place using Dimensionals.  I added the hat using a dimenisonal.

I didn't have the same sequins that were used in the original card.  I didn't really care for the looks of them.  So I took out my "Iridescent Sequins" pack and found some colors that I thought would work.

It's a really cute card.  That's why I just HAD to copy it!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
