Frosted Foliage, Frosted Frames, Christmas Card, 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

Today's card was found on the internet. I was doing a search for "Frosted Foliage" and I ran across this pretty card. You can see the original card here.  I pretty much copied it exactly as it is. I don't usually do dark colors for Christmas, but this is SO pretty. Prettier in real life.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock.  On top of that is a piece of Blackberry Bliss that was cut at 4-1/6" x 5-3/16".  I don't have the 1/16" mark on my cutter so I just lined my card up between the marks.  It's close enough!  Then I textured a piece of Crumb Cake card stock that was cut 5-1/8" x 3-7/8".  I taped those two layers together.

Then I die cut the pretty background frame piece from the "Frosted Frames" die cut set using Blackberry Bliss card stock.

I stamped the words from the "Frosted Foliage" set using Blackberry Bliss ink.  I die cut it with the stitched die from the "Frosted Frames" die set.  I wrapped some twine around it and tied a bow.  I set the piece on top of the die cut frame piece using snail tape.

Then I die cut the two snowflakes from the "Frosted Frames" die set using Mint Macaron card stock.  I added a tiny bit of snail tape to the back of them and set them in place on the card.  I added a tiny crystal rhinestone to the center of each snowflake and I also added one by the word "sending" (only because it was stuck to my finger and I had already put the rhinestones away - SO lazy!!! LOL).

I set the frame piece in place using Dimensionals. And I did add a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside. I probably should have used Vanilla because the white is kind of bright.

I do like this card and I'm going to be sad to see this set retire.  Most of the ones in the mini catalogs never make it to the big catalog.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
