Snowman Season, Christmas Card, 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

Today I thought I would play with the "Snowman Season" set since we were getting some flurries today. Not that I'm ready for the snow or the cold but it's coming.  Mostly the cold for now.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Real Red card stock. I stamped Real Red snowflakes on it.  They are from the "Snowman Season" set.

I took a scrap piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Let it Snow" 12" x 12" paper pack.  I trimmed the strip to 1-1/4" x 4-1/4".  I cut a 1-3/8" x 4-3/8" piece of Shaded Spruce card stock for the layer. I taped the strip in place eyeing the top and left side so they looked equal to the card base.

I stamped the words from the "Snowman Season" and I die cut them using the third smallest "Stitched Rectangle" die.  I ended up tearing the corner when I took it off the die so I cut it on the paper cutter.  I cut a Shaded Spruce layer just 1/8" larger all around for the layer.  I taped it in place on the card base eyeing the right and bottom so there was equal amounts of the card base showing.

Then I stamped the snowman from the "Snowman Season" set using black Memento ink.  I colored the scarf and hat using Real Red and Shaded Spruce markers.  I colored the snow and some highlights on the snowman using the Balmy Blue marker.  I sponged on some Shaded Spruce over the little pine tree and I sponged on some Balmy Blu over the snowman's head.  I die cut him using a "Stitched Rectangle" die.  Then I cut a Shaded Spruce layer just 1/8" larger all around.  I taped those two layers together and set them in place on the card with Dimensionals.  I lined up the bottom of the panel just above the "Merry Christmas, trying to center it as best as I can.

I then glued on some sequins from the "Snowflake Sequins" container.  There's a TON of fun sequins in there!  And the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make.  I love the bright red on this card.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
