Beautiful Bouquet, Beautiful Friendship, Birthday Card

Today I played with a set that I mostly use for the words because they are just the right size for oval layering.  I actually used the die cuts in the bundle too! And here's how I made this card:

The  base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.  I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock for the top layer.

I stamped three of the flowers from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set using Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze ink.  I die cut them.  I also stamped the flower center using Daffodil Delight and I die cut them too.  The leaves were die cut using Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz card stock.  And I did stamp a couple of leaves using the leaf image and Old Olive ink.

The words are from the "Beautiful Friendship" set.  I stamped them using black memento ink. I die cut them with the Stitched Oval die cut.

So first I set the oval on the top layer to see where I was going to stamp the leaves.  I stamped them twice using Old Olive ink.  Then I set the words in place using Dimensionals.

I added the flowers around the right side of the oval.  Then I clipped the ends off the greenery and added a little tape to the bottoms and stuck them behind the oval.

I added the flower centers using a glue dot and then I added tiny pearls to those and one larger pearl to the Crushed Curry six petal flower.

This was a very simple card to make. It did take a while to stamp and cut the pieces but it's not like it's a lot of work. And at the same time the centers and leaves could be cut too to save time.

I was working toward something with fallish colors.  It's just around the corner.  It seems like after September first you tend to leave the pastel colors and move towards the fall colors. Though I will still work with the pastel colors when the mood strikes me or when I find a card on Pinterest that I HAVE to copy!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
