Beautiful Friendship, Birthday Card, 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog

This card just creates such a good feeling. I LOVE all the colors and flowers.  It's got great movement and it's just plain pretty!  I found this card on the net.  You can see the original card here.

This card was very simple to create too.  I did use my Stamparatus to do the words only because I hate messing up on them the most.  I used Poppy Parade to stamp the words from the "Beautiful Friendship" set  onto Whisper White card stock.  I die cut them using the Stitched Circle die, it was the second largest in the set. I cut off the side of the circle.  The original card also had the left side rounded on the two corners.  I didn't do that because my hands were not ready to do something like that today through two layers of card stock.  And I think it looks just fine as it is.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Flirty Flamingo.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Coastal Cabana card stock.  And the Whisper White piece was cut 3-3/4" x 5".

I took the circle and I lined it up to where I thought it was going to be on the card front and I lightly drew around it with a pencil.  I will later erase those lines when I'm done stamping. I will use a kneadable eraser, often called an art gum eraser.  It will only remove graphite and nothing more.

After drawing my circle, I put the single rose on my stamping block and stamped two of them on the card using Poppy Parade ink.  Next I stamped the twin flowers.  The original card looked like it only used one of the flowers.  I opted for two because I didn't want to do any masking off, plus I thought the card could use a little more yellow because of all the reds and pinks.  I stamped the twin flowers using Daffodil Delight.  I stamped them twice.

Next I stamped the largest image in the set. I used Coastal Cabana ink.  You can only see a little of it showing. I stamped over the traced circle.  I think enough of it shows to not overpower the card.

Then I stamped the Flirty Flamingo pointy flowers. I stamped once and then without inking I stamped again. I stamped that image several times.  And lastly I stamped the leaves using Granny Apple Green ink.

After i was done stamping, I erased the pencil line and set the circle in place using Dimensionals.

I added three "Iridescent Sequins" to the front. The yellowish orange colored ones and then I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and the card was done.

I am really pleased at how this card turned out and I just love the color combo here. It's got such a cheery look.

Thank you for stopping by today,
Wanda
