June 2019 Alternative Paper Pumpkin, Perennial Birthday, Birthday Card

I found this fun alternative Paper Pumpkin card here. I have never thought to open a note card and use the whole thing as a top layer.  Hmmm.  Now I'm going to have to go through some of my old Paper Pumpkin kits and see what note cards I didn't use and see if it will work!  I did change a couple of things on the card but it's pretty close.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake. I took the sea fern or coral image and stamped it around the outside of the card base using Versa Mark.

Then I took the note card and stamped the "Happy Birthday" from the "Perennial Birthday" set using Mossy Meadow ink.

I used glue to set the green branches in place. I glued them just a hair under the fold line.  Then I added the sea fern or coral piece.  Actually I glued two of them in place.  Then I added the star fish and the sand dollar.

I tied the linen thread around the card twice and tied a bow.  The thread came with the kit.

I set the note card piece in place on top of the Crumb Cake card base using Dimensionals.  And that was it.  What a fun way to use those little note cards.  Now I'm off to see what other kits I have that I didn't finish up because of it being note cards.

I'm adding a couple more cards I made using the materials in the Paper Pumpkin kit.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
