Lasting Lily, Beautiful Promenade, Sympathy Card, 2019 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog

I struggled a bit making this card.  I saw it on Pinterest and I tried to copy it. You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Fresh Fig card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.  I cut a 2-1/8" x 5-1/4" piece of the "Petal Promenade" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I taped the DSP to the Whisper White background layer and I taped those two to the card base.

I stamped the words from the "Lasting Lily" stamp set using Fresh Fig ink and I die cut it with the Stitched oval die.  I also die cut a scalloped oval using Fresh Fig card stock.

I stamped the flower from the "Beautiful Promenade" set and I sponged on the color using Fresh Fit (lightly) and Flirty Flamingo (lightly).  I colored over the flower with Wink of Stella to give it some sparkle. I set the flower in place uisng Dimensionals.

Next I punched the leaves from the "Sprig" punch using Garden Green card stock. After I set it in place I was thinking that I probably should have used Mossy Meadow card stock.  This green just sticks out way too much.

I added Dimensionals to the back of the flower and stuck the sprigs to it. I set the flower in place on the ovals.  I added Dimensionals to the oval layers and I set it in place on the card front.

I added three of the Petal Pink rhinestone gems to the card and it was done.  I'm REALLY hoping I can take the springs off and add them using the Mossy Meadow card stock colored ones.  FYI, I did try with no luck.  So they will be Garden Green!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
