Hello Cupcake, 2019 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration, Birthday Card

I found a fun card on Pinterest using the 2019 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration "Hello Cupcake" set.  I did change it a little.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Mango Melody card stock. This card opens on the side.

I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock and textured it using the "Subtle" embossing folder.  I cut the embossed piece on the diagonal.  I just lined up the tips of the corners on the line on the cutter where the blade had cut. That was the easiest way for me to do that.  Then I knew I'd get the angle right.

I took a piece of the Mango Melody Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the 6" x 6" Brights paper pack.  I cut the DSP 4" x 5-1/4" the same way I cut the Whisper White textured piece.  You can make two cards doing this.

I stamped the words from the "Hello Cupcake" set using black Memento ink on the Mango Melody DSP.  I turned the piece over and I lined up the diagonal edge with the diagonal edge of the Whisper White textured piece and I taped them together with a little bit of scotch tape.  Next I taped the piece in place on the card base.

I stamped the cupcake "wrapper" using Soft Suede ink on Whisper White card stock. The cupcake was stamped using So Saffron ink and I stamped the frosting using Mango Melody ink.

I added the sprinkles and the heart pick using Soft Suede ink.  I cut the image using the largest stitched oval die. I set the oval in place using Dimensionals.  And that was it.  This was a very fun card to make. I LOVE the colors too!  I thought this was an easy card to make too.  I used the Stamparatus to line up the cupcake parts.  Though they are clear stamps so you can see through them. But I'm SO spoiled by the Stamparatus that I use it way more than I need to.  But it's nice to be able to ink your image up again if it didn't get dark enough or inked right, and you can stamp in the same exact spot and not ruin your image.  Ya gotta LOVE that!!! I sure do!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
